Paradise

Pros: Beautiful location, all inclusive, friendly staff, variety of activities and food.
Location: Great location, 20 minute ride from the airport. Lots of opportunity for excursions, and shopping.
This is the place for a Caribbean dream vacation! Gorgeous all inclusive resort! Beautiful location on the beach with plenty of covered lounge areas. The staff were over-the-top friendly and accommodating. Amazing variety of food-excellent. We were able to try a different restaurant every night of the 6 days we were there. The grounds are neatly groomed. We were made to feel like VIP's. Definitely going back!

Disappointing and confusing

Posted 27-Mar-2015
Pros: Big pool. Lots of washrooms.
Cons: IKEA fake grass planters on the dining room tables?
Location: In the middle of Bavaro beach, many people walking by.
Though on arrival we were impressed with the estetics of the hotel, things got confusing as we were told we were VIP's , but eventually it became evident it was just a way to eventually pitch a "timeshare " type offer. So disappointing. We obviously were not VIPs judging from the old room we were put in. But if we went for the sales pitch we would get an amazing room next time! ( for 24,000$ I hope so!) It was barely suffient as the tub would not fill and the shower had no pressure. The other thing that became annoying was the multiple areas and restaurants we were not allowed in. Didn't really seem Allinclusive. We will be going to a Sandals next time.

Superb hotel right by the besch

Good healthy buffet, many options. Staff always very friendly and polite. Overall not a chaotic party hotel which was nice yet it still offered an ambient atmosphere at night. The beaches were fabulous including all the activities offered (free kayaking, etc).

Excellent Stay

Posted 16-Mar-2015
My wife and I, both senior citizens, were pleased with our stay. The staff was very pleasant, although language capability varied considerably. Based on reading previous reviews, I was concerned about the dinner reservation system. We made our reservations directly with the concierge desk right when we arrived and had no problem. We were not told that we could reserve beach chairs. When we set up early one morning, we were told that almost all of the chairs were already reserved. Juan, however was very helpful in relocating us to an excellent spot. I think that if I return, I will try for an ocean view.

Very disappointing stay, not worth the price

Posted 13-Mar-2015
Pros: The beach.
Cons: The staff. They suck at customer service. I spent more time looking for help and doing things myself than being served.
Given the ranking for this hotel in Punta Cana I booked this place expecting an another amazing experience, on par or better with other all inclusive resorts I've stayed at. I was very very wrong. 1.) Staff. The absolute worst, the majority of them seemed to be annoyed you are there and have no understanding of the word customer service. A few examples: waited 15 minutes to be served drinks, was never served even after making eye contact several times so got frustrated and got my own drinks from a bar nearby. Waiters at the steakhouse gathered in a group of 4 behind us while we were eating appetizers and were complaining about the manager as well as discussing personnel matters. Concierge made dinner reservations without informing me of time or requesting preferences. Told me to return at 4:30pm to confirm if he could even get reservation, found out his shift ends at 4:00pm. Sat down for buffet, got table and ordered drinks, after going to get food and returning we find out that the hostess accidentally gave our table to someone else, great, had to wait another 5 minutes holding our food for them to find a table. 2.) Hotels. I'm not a fan of the wristbands even though we were VIP. The wristbands themselves were very annoying to wear at all times, even sleeping and showering. There are multiple different sections: regular, VIP, Royal Service, The Reserve, Families and Groups. Good luck trying to figure out which areas you are allowed to go into and which ones you're not.

Great place!

Posted 12-Mar-2015
Pros: Food was good and room was large.
Cons: The hot water ran out pretty much most days at dusk!
This was only our second time to an all inclusive. We were worried about the food and drink as last experience was below expectations. This was above expectations, however. The place has 5 sit down restaurant's that were quite good, and the service was great at all of them. There were also buffets for those who preferred. Overall, a great experience. Relaxing, great property and weather. Our room was a large suite with 3 rooms. Only complaint would be our view. We looked at a large tree off our balcony. For the price, I was expecting to see Water of ocean or at least pool. Drinks were plentiful and we were able to go all over different areas by walking or golf carts.

Pros: Pools! WiFI everwhere!!
Cons: Dinner Reservation process.
Well didn't say anything mean in the first review. So this place is great, friendly staff. Great amenities. Could be cleaner. But it's not a pig stall. I guess I wont go into specifics bc it will get denied.

Upscale Hotel

Posted 09-Mar-2015
Cons: My only complaint is that no information was provided to me upon arrival. I wasn't told about the difference between regular and "reserved" or where
I had an excellent last minute holiday at this hotel. The food was terrific as was the beach area. Rooms were lovely, overlooking the magnificent garden.
