The resort was great, the whole family enjoyed the food and drinks as well as the beach pools and water parks! We also enjoyed the drink service on the beach! The property was in excellent condition being newly renovated a few months ago. The only improvement would be the speed of service for drinks.

My husband and I have visit for the 4th time we had a fantastic experience before and it was a bit different yet love this place love the new renovations modern,we were kind of disappointed upon arrival front desk was not welcoming ,nor the host with the signature house drink! They all male and female front desk gather in Conner socializing with each other while a big line of quest waiting without being taking care off, Also the lack of of information to quest as simple to inform about lunch or dinner scheduled waiting roughly 2 hours keep on mind we arrived at 3pm, of course staff neglected to informed that you will need your cell phone at all times to used at restaurants due there were no paper menu provided and again the lock of communication shine due wait staff will sit you at the table and would not tell you used your phone for the QRS on the conner of the table to get your menu yet when they come back with not such a pleasant face to take your order when you are ready due to not disclosure important info!!! Other important info please provide quest more info about trolley color code destinations, everything Bahia has to offer night activities , pool activities foam pool party staff at ground - beach were very attentive shout out to Carlos Linares best bartender at main pool as well the wait service at the beach they are very hard working staff ,always with a big smile.the landscape impeccable,Housekeeping need to improve preparness ,room cleaning was minus .

Every thing is five star except staff. They don't know customer service. Every time I went to bar for a drink, I noticed several staff member behind counter and no one bothered to pay any attention. They were chitchatting in their language. I had to demand their attention. This was a common experience through out. On the day of my return, I showed the bell buy my airport transfer reservation details and asked for assistance. He offered me to call the company. After calling someone and talking in his language he told me someone will be here in 5 minutes. Someone did arrived within 5 minutes and took me to the airport. After reaching the airport, I found out that bell boy; instead of calling the airport transfer company he had called his cousin cab driver and I had to pay extra cab charges at the airport.

There are many reasons why people keep returning to The Bahia Principe in Punta Cana and after one week staying at the LUXURY ESMERALDA this year I can honestly say The directors, staff, cleaning workers, construction workers, animation team, client relations, chefs, waiters, Bell boy, cleaning and housekeeping to the Managers, assistance and list goes on and on. All of these people working at this resort put in long hours and hard work to make the guest experience an unforgettable time. The Bahia Principe has become a second home. Where workers remember your name even after 5 years. They take the customer service experience very seriouly and after going for over 10 times I will continue to go there again and again. Thank you to everyone that took part in making my vacation this year in April an unforgettable holiday. See you soon.

Property is beautiful, clean and close to the amazing beach. Pools are clean. The entertainment can be better. Food at the buffets was good. The staff were very friendly and helpful, Wilfred, night manager at the buffet, Awilda, Franklin, bartender at the Sports bar and last but not least Eliezer and Gregory at the check in desk who helped us after we screwed up check in online and for helping us to book our a la carte dinners. Our experience was enjoyable.

Property was very large with different things to do. golf carts were fun to get around with as it is spread out for dinners. downfall was construction taking place at the punta cana which was right out my door.

Management's blind eye technique to the issue of "pool chairs reservation" that is not allowed is a problem. You get to the pool or the beach at 715am and every chair has a towel in it but no one in the pool or the water. You complain and they take their sweet time to see if you just simply suck it up and get on with your day. Verbal and potential physical confrontation with other guests may be around the corner. Other than that, you may love this place.

Newly renovated rooms were very nice, clean. Overall the staff was very friendly and helpful. New restaurants were nice addition. Sports bar had great food, very attentive manager (Carlos), and hard working staff.

Great staff and great facilities all the staff was very friendly and helpful, the sports bar with Carlos the manager, Viena, Alta Gracia, Adriana, Robert and Franklyn they were all great, the buffet and the a la carte restaurants were great both the food and staff. Check in was quick, check out was a breeze, the after check out facilities are super convenient. The only issue is that guests at the Esmeralda don't have access to the Fantasia.

I did not like that all of the restaurants were booked prior to getting there. Did not get the dining options we wanted. Service at some of the restaurants was very slow. Grounds are immaculate and very clean. Very big resort.

Nice it was all remodeled. Mosquitos were bad. Hard to get a chair by pool and beach. Staff was very nice and helpful. I hope they appreciate their staff!!

Property was dirty. Staff rude. Dress code not enforced at restaurants. Smoking was permitted everywhere even in areas where it indicated no smoking. Getting a chair at beach or pool was impossible unless you get up at 5am to reserve chairs! Horrible experience!

This property is next to the beach. Less than 3 minute walk from any room. Food is amazing and pools are clean, fun and beautiful. There is nightly entertainment and lots of areas for walking and shopping if you need anything. We love Bahia Príncipe in Punta Cana. This was our 5th family trip and we plan to return every year as long as we can. There is something for everyone - even teenagers.

Esmeralda is compact so easy to get to any of the pools, beach and 2 buffets. Only thing I didn't like was the music and activities at main pool were often way too loud. There are 2 other pools in Esmeralda and pools in other parts of Bahia Principe which can be used.

A very large resort with access to many ala cart restaurants theres many shopping options around the resort. Staff was exceptionally friendly and will to help with anything you need..has a kids exclusive area along with many activities for young and old. Would highly recommend for couples and familys both..

Restaurants were already booked for anything popular/good the day we arrived, so we ended up eating at the buffet :( . First a la carte experience and first mixed drink was downright awful... should not be served. We had a very hard time emailing their spa as the address kept getting munched by Expedia's relay. We inquired of the hotel ahead of time as it's our 20th Anniversary, though nothing was done upon our arrival. We inquired about a king size bed and had 2 doubles - for our anniversary trip! Beach was nice. Resort is HUGE and connects with others of Bahia. Very confusing as to which buffets we could/could not eat at. Room deodorizer was overbearing, jet tub was dirty from last guest with bath bomb remnants still noticeable in the tub and so we didn't use it. Kind of mixed feelings about this place. Probably won't do all-inclusive again as the quality just wasn't there for the restaurants that were available, and we aren't buffet people usually, so having to eat at one daily was a tad disconcerting, especially because we went home and got sick.

The property is beautiful, but when in your room all you hear is very loud doors slamming constantly. Everything is tile so it echos. The doors should really be made to close softly!
