Loved Bayahibe Beach

Posted 16-Dec-2014
This was a great hotel on Bayahibe Beach. I stayed for 9 days and I would definitely stay here again. Pros: Great and fresh food at the the buffet and restaurants. Nice beach and artificial reef. Fun activities, especially the karaoke for me. Nice swimming pool and pool bar. Very nice room and balcony. Grounds were lush and very pretty. Staff was very nice. Cons: Took over two hours to get my room when I checked in after 3 pm. After the swimming pool and beach bars closed there was only the lobby bar which got very crowded and had to practically fight at the bar for a drink. Please open up another bar during the early evening. Pricey internet and for only one device.

The atmosphere was calming

Posted 03-Dec-2014
Pros: The personel was very friendly and sociabal
Cons: The place needs a good cleaning.
Location: I'm not real sure on that. I stayed strictly at the Resort. Lots of activities here.
The service was pretty good. The room was not what I would call super clean, but was in good shape. Needed some repairs and paint. The grounds were nice and clean. The food was exceptional but I wouldnt write home about it. Still it was a nice stay.

2 star hotel at best

Posted 17-Nov-2014
Pros: Pool bartender was great; ala carte restaurants were good
Staff not very friendly, public toilets clogged, pool had stuff floating in it, no attention to fixing the small things (paint, cracked sidewalks), food at buffet only "adequate," had to wait until 5pm to get into room upon check-in

Stay in the hotel was not good

Posted 09-Nov-2014
The rooms are not comfortable, take junior master suite and looked standard, does not offer the service described in the web, the photos presented are only 50% of the truth of the hotel, snack food worst, the bars did not have drink, there was ice as is the case of a private bar for my building, so food but should be better for the price, show extremely bad, bad gym, I could not attend at any time, the door card damaged , I had to I place ten times, and that is a new building that I thought would be the best amenities, but it was not, are just as bad as the others in meaningless generally do not recommend this hotel, and have visited other Be live me be delighted, but this visit I am totally unwilling to return.

prestations moyennes

Best vacation ever

Posted 19-Oct-2014
Pros: We had a great room with pool view, staff was very helpful and pleasant, food was great, unlimited drinks and food 24/7 :D Beautiful beach!!
Cons: Cheapen the excursions and local calls. Hotel should provide excursions on their own! Clean the pool more often.
Location: Tobacco factories are a must! Saona island definitely no!!!
Definitely the best vacation we ever went on! Now we have so many memories, wallpaper pictures of palm trees and the warm Caribbean sea :D Definitely worth going and seeing :))) Be Live Canoa probably has the best beach in the surroundings as it's wide with sandy surface and a beautiful view - perfect for taking lots of pictures!! It is very well taken care off, has beach beds and cocktail bars!! You can also dance various types of latino dances with hotels' animators, play volleyball, take kayaks, etc. Food was amazing and we got to taste all different types of food in 4-5 different restaurants (Japanese, Mexican, Brasilian, etc.). Hotel is very romantic and you can have candlelight lobster dinner. Hotel is lgbt friendly. You should book all tours in advance as providers on site are not reliable. Tours and products are expensive. Definitely would recommend going to tobacco factories - Tabacalera de Garcia or La Flor Dominicana. Also recommend buying cigars, cigarillos with flavours and, of course, rum (Barcelo and Brugal). Do NOT go to Saona island! All the tour providers actually give you the same thing but for a wide range of prices, but all you see is a crowded beach full of bees that won't leave you in peace. Water is shallow for about half a mile in distance from the beach, and the tour operators don't really care who is or where who is in the water so they park their speedboats on the beach among the people - too crowded!! Expensive local calls!!

Paradise

Pros: Everything
Cons: I feel that the room service could use improvement. Out of the whole week I only received a wash rag one time.
Location: The location is lovely. Plenty of excursions available. But the resort is so big and entertainment happens all day, u don't really need to go anywhere
I never expected to find a resort where everyone that works there is super friendly. No matter whom you walk by you are always greeted with an Hola. The beach is stunning. The entertainment out of this world :D. The food was satisfying. The resort is a little older but they are working everyday to make improvements and I thought that was wonderful. The staff makes every effort to please u and make ur stay a pleasant one. Thinking of going back in February. Wanna say many thanks to Lenin, Randy, Johan, Billy Boy, Willy and Eduardo. Great time
