posizione privilegiata e spiaggia favolosa

Posted 28-Jan-2015
Pros: posizione

Upgrade!

Posted 27-Jan-2015
Pros: See above
Cons: See above
Location: All the excursions except the aquarium type trips and aerial ones are at least 1 1/2 hours away....stay away!!!
We opted to stay at the Adults Only section to have a romantic get away. The room (4025) was nice but the bathroom was dated and in need of attention, the sliding door on the closet was stuck but worked ok for us. Building 4 is on the end of the resort so the walk was a little long to the lobby area where the restaurants and bar area is. After a week we upgraded to the Bacelo Palace (same resort) oceanfront with hot tub, well worth the $. You want the Club Premium package no matter what! Was disappointed that the "all inclusive" isn't unless you pay a little extra or have the premium room. The beach is nice but noisy! Helicopters and party boats all day but it is a form of entertainment. Overall it is a good value.

Poor service

Posted 26-Jan-2015
With only 50 characters there is not enough for me too truly give my experience. This hotel is not a good with customer. Very poor communication nobody tells what to do or how the hotels works with restaurants or excursion. Basically here is your key,map and that's it. Would not recommend. I don't think anyone there even smiled the whole time. Either not good employees or very poor morale.

Nice hotel, beautiful beach, gourmet food

Posted 20-Jan-2015
Pros: Everything we needed was easily accessible. Very comfortable, well appointed hotel.
Cons: Explicit information regarding Ocean view vs oceanfront, vs close to the beach. Don't charge for drinks in coconuts/pineapples.
Location: Stayed on the resort, wonderful beach.
We were disappointed when we first arrived. Had booked an ocean front room, which turned out to be far from the beach. You could see the beach, but we expected to be on the beach if they say ocean front. Complained to the front desk, after some discussion with the manager, we were moved to an ocean front room. Which they call premium class - so don't expect to be "on" the beach unless you order premium class. The room they gave us was awesome and the vacation from there on was wonderful. This is our 4th visit to Punta Cana, first to the Barcelo, it turned out to be THE BEST. The food at Chez Gourmet and Las Brisas was second to none. Fine dining for sure. We will definitely be returning.

Great beach, bit huge and noisy.

Posted 20-Jan-2015
Pros: Beach.
Cons: Food, drinks, house wines.
Pros: 1) Beach: the beach is very long, with palm trees for shade. We found that there were plenty of chairs always available. The beach was clean, and when seaweed accumulated, there would be a group hotel staff very efficiently cleaning it up. 2) Entertainment: If you want a hotel that provides great live entertainment, this hotel did very well. But the discotech is at the family hotel, so a bit of a walk o 3) Proximity to airport: it is relatively close to the airport. 4) Wifi: no available wifi in the lounge area, always had to purchase if you wanted to use it. Cons: 1) House wines: we aren't wine snobs, but could not drink the wine. We ended up buying bottles of wines each night for dinner. They also had champagne in the mornings and some vodka for bloody mornings, both of poor quality, I think the champagne was only 7%. 2) Beach: I found the beach to be loud, lots of party boats will pass blasting the music. The views are also obstructed due to the fact that there are floating structures, where boats dock. 3) Food: buffet food had lots of variety, so was what it is fine. The restaurant food is a 4 on a 10 scale. I didn't like any of the food, and stuck to eating lobster wherever we went. TIP: the lobster is included. Note: two of the hotels were not included, the Asian and French places. And when we arrived some restaurants were all booked for our stay. Recommend this place for families or large groups, barely, definitely not for cute romantic getaway

Overall a good hotel

Posted 19-Jan-2015
Very disappointed bc we reserved a room with. King bed and while checking in, we were informed they did not have that room available and so we got stuck with a room with a double bed. Very upset about that bc we booked our hotel and room 4 months in advance. Also, hotel staff was just ok, not super friendly. But besides that, the resort itself was very nice and clean. Great beach!!!

Couponning égale escroquerie

Posted 08-Jan-2015
7 jours suffisent
