“Simple stay w/ firm bed.”
The door opened to a stone counter with two barstools. Beyond was the kitchen - a butane powered stove, coffeemaker, toaster, fridge and sink with enough dishes for two. Room to walk around the king sized bed, and enough closet space to dump our three huge bags, and just enough room to set up Junior's playpen. Not all rooms have AC, but ours had a big fan, and we could sleep comfortably with the window wide open, since there's bars (horizontal though, not like the jail-style) across the open part of the window. Our room overlooked an open interior plaza, but there are also rooms whose hallways look out over the ocean (less than a block away w/ a nice beach next to the start of the boardwalk). Two pools, one by reception, and one on the top floor, were both cool (not cold) and inviting in the PV heat. Breakfast is included, but don't count on it, as the "Sam's Club" buns were stale (one even had a bunch of little ants in it), the papaya tasted funny, the orange juice was sunnyD, and the coffee was so weak it looked more like tea. No problem though, as less than four blocks away you'll find a great market with fresh fruit, veg, meat & bread, all at a reasonable price. No safe in the room, (they're in the lobby), and no internet in the room (again, in the lobby) but there's a great coffeeshop/bookstore w/ wifi next door that's open late. Overall, friendly and helpful staff. Good for a start, but did find better unadvertised properties in PV, after looking around a bit.
“Second year in a row, friendly staff, excellent location great views”
We have stayed at Eloisa 2 years in a row for 3 weeks each in a studio and suite. The hotel is quaint and charming, very clean. Roof top pool has fabulous views and very private. The hotel is steps away from restraunts the beach and the malecon. For the price you can't go wrong. Hotel rated at 3 stars like most in the romantic zone.
“Good Value”
Half block to beach Reasonable room price Not much hot water depending on the time of your shower.
“Close to the beach”
Hotel is close to the beach and area restaurants. Room is dated and does not insulate well against noise. Staff are very friendly and always willing to help. If you do not plan on spending a lot of time in your hotel room this place is a bargin.
“Low maintenance Kinda Place”
great for low maintenance people.
“Will go back for sure”
Had a great stay, location couldn't have been better, on a dead end street so no traffic out front... quiet, friendly service... bring your Spanish phrasebook if you don't know a bit. 24 hr money exchange in building is very handy, laundry, cafes, patios, bars, shops, and the beachwalk within a block. The beds were not the most comfy we've had, but not bad and far from the worst. If you want to be in walking distance of everything and have a convenient, friendly, safe place to stay... Hotel Eloisa is your spot. Will definitely return!
“I'll Stay there again and again”
Great hotel, great location, friendly, clean, 2 pools. I liked it a lot.
“it was a good clean place to stay”
there is suppse to be a resturant in the hotel but it was closed there are no ice machines at the hotel the staff was very frendly and helpful the rooms with a kitchen are somewhat primative there is no microwave and no stove only a electric hot plate the ones with the kitchen have steps to the bathroom and steps from your front door so we were always tripping not expecting that the first night the hot water handle in the shower can off so we had to have that repaired it also can be quite noisy late night . we have been to mexico may times in general the hotel was very pleasant would stay there again
“Great local accomodations”
This hotel is very well located over a park, near the beach, and walking to the Malecon. Local and removed from a lot of tourist traps.
“cheap, very central and approachable.”
it's very central of the downtown, malecon, beach and discos. The personal is very approachable and open mind with the tourist. No restrictions. There is a swiming pool in the roof of the hotel, so u can get a tan without problems. If you leave your stuff in the room, the clean service respects your personal belongings, it's not necessary to rent a security box. although the towels are not very clean. You ought to give the key of the room when u get out of the hotel cause there are not keycard yet. The attention is right and good. Good idea for planning the next trips for latin fever in Puerto Vallarta.
