If you’re a down-to-earth person looking for a budget-friendly gay resort on the beach in Puerto Vallarta, the Blue Chairs Resort meets all needs and more. The staff are wonderful, friendly, and helpful. The massage therapists are super professional and top-notch. I stayed in a Breezy Blue Jr. Suite and it was perfect for my needs. It had AC, a super comfortable bed, refrigerator, microwave, stove, dishes, closet, walk-in shower with hot water, a large balcony with a stunning ocean view, and other amenities. The pool on the first floor was excellent. The rooftop bar was fantastic and had amazing ocean views. The drag shows on the rooftop bar were also fun and entertaining. The resort elevators are new and work great. The stairwells are also perfectly fine (I rolled my eyes when I remembered a review comment about the stairwells being dirty and feeling unsafe to someone). The Blue Chairs Beach Club was where I spent most of my time relaxing in the blue chairs and being waited on by such friendly and helpful staff. The drink options were excellent too and they even had non-alcoholic beer. My only feedback would be to add some vegan options to the beach club food menu, but even that isn’t a big deal because there are such amazing vegan and vegan-friendly restaurants in town. All-in-all, I had an amazing time at the Blue Chairs Resort and I can’t wait to go back!"
