Beautiful, my room was ocean view. Big room friendly staff. Hotel is less than 10 minutes from hotel. Valet pricey I wouldn’t rent a car. Uber is a great option. Also lots of restaurants in the area within walking distance . Would definitely return.

We had a double queen, ocean view room. The view was amazing and the room beautifully appointed. However, it had a damp smell and was cold at night. There were three of us in our room but we kept getting just two washcloths. We longed for a microwave and a laundry room to wash and dry our clothes---especially our swimsuits. The hotel should implement a guest portal to track incidentals instead of placing additional funds on hold once the required deposit amount is exceeded. Finally, more food options, please! Maybe blaze a trail and become PR's first true all-inclusive resort.

The best place we've stayed in a long time and we plan to come back. We dont usually go back to the same place because we like exploring new areas but we WILL return here. Every one of the staff we've met have been incredible, the pools and surrounding areas are beautiful and spotless. Easy access to the beach and restaurants, etc. Love love love!

Our recent 4 night stay was excellent. The facilities are great but the real value of the hotel are its people. Friendly, helpful, and courteous at every station; the best of whom was William at the front door. The Sonesta, as well as Puerto Rico, couldn't have a better ambassador! I look forward to returning!

Property is a little worn. Electronic door to room hallway was not working, which is a security issue. I had to have maintenance come in and repair the slider door to my patio, which would not open. Another another security issue if you had to get out that door.

Very nice hotel with fantastic view of the ocean in the very nice safe area. The hotel had very nice dining option but also walkable to other local places to eat. We would defiantly stay there again.

Reason for poor rating: this is more of an Expedia issue, than hotel issue, but should be coordinated together to fix. Surprise extra $291 (3 night resort fee) at check in. I’ve booked through Expedia before and resort fees have always been included. This was probably in fine print, yes, but anything like this is misleading especially as people often take into consideration price when comparing properties. I usually choose something through Marriott app, but decided to explore more options through Expedia. Lesson learned - I’ll stick to Marriott's app in the future! I am more than happy to revise rating if a refund is issued. The hotel grounds were wonderful, and the employees were super friendly. Room was clean, but the bathroom floor could have been cleaned a little better. We walked down the beach to the right a little and did the banana boat ride - so fun! Also, the pool towels were a nice size! Usually pool towels are baby sized, so it was great having a normal sized towel.

I booked this hotel last minute for my daughter’s 21st day trip with her best friend. Her flight was an early flight and I call 20 minutes before she got there to see if they can accommodate her for an early check in. and they did just that!!! Her checkin time was 4pm and they checked her in around 11am . Her room and view was amazing! I’m booking my trip with my husband in July can’t wait to get the same room. My daughter tells me she love every single thing about this hotel. Thank you for her experience for her 21st

The hotel was very nice and well located. The access to the beach was very good and the pool area and hot tub were excellent. There was plenty of room for guest to spread out. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

My husband and I had an amazing time. The customer service was outstanding, room quiet and clean with a beautiful beachfront view. The staff, ( too many names to say), are super friendly and helpful. We really felt like family at this resort. The last night of our stay, fireworks went off right outside our window as we were packing up. A great finale to a great time. We will be back!

Best stay in Puerto Rico
There are very few hotels that we think are close to perfect! Royal Sonesta Puerto Rico is one of them. We were deciding between this hotel and another. So glad we chose this one for a variety of reasons: Location, beach, restaurant quality, pina coladas and service.

The cleanliness of our room is the reason we were not pleased with staying here. Our sheets had a beige stain, trail mix found on the floor, and the worst of all… nail clippings found on the bedside table. Housekeeping also came early in morning when we were still in bed which was a little bothersome. We wanted to love this place!

Weather was great. Hotel was pack which impacted service. We would go an entire day before room was cleaned and on multiple trips to hotel bar we were never served.
