“would not go back”

have often stayed in embassy suites however this hotel was of poor quality. rooms were shabby and going for breakfast was a joke. poor food and always had run out of everything. it took ages to get replenished. we moved to the hilton caribe.

“impressive”

Great breakfast, daily manager's reception 5:30 to 7:30, friendly bilingual staff, two blocks from Isle Verde beach where they supply chairs and umbrellas at no extra charge. Great jumping point to see Old San Juan, the El Yungue rainforest, Camuy caves, Fajardo's Bio Bay, and nice resturants that are within walking distance. We enjoyed five night and will return.

Area recommendations

We enjoyed walking down the beach and walking back up the main strip. There was a great Police presents which made us feel very secure,

When to go

We went in early December, temperatue was 82-85 F,

Getting around

We rented a car to get us to different points around the island. We felt it gave us the freedom to do what we wanted on our timetable.

We did a lot of shopping, we enjoy shopping at Plaza Carolina mall, Las americas mall, Prime Factory Outlet, Wallmart, JC Penny, Walgreens.

“Extra freebies make it a good deal”

The free happy hour and free breakfeast are a plus and it's only minutes from the airport, so it's a good place to stay a night or 2 but not long term. Beach isn't close at all.

“Maybe.”

We really enjoyed our short stay at the Embassy Suites in San Juan, but there is one MAJOR problem that is very hard to overcome. Check-in time is 4pm. If this is not convenient, and it was not for us, then you should look elsewhere. We were not aware of the problem, due to our inexperience with this type of booking. The hotel did manage to get us into our room at 2:30, but only because my husband was very persistent. It was Sunday, the stores were closed, we were tired, and their late check-out time of noon the next day was no good to us due to flight times. Once we had our room, things immediately became much better. It was a large 2 room suite, the hotel was very attractive, the pool area was lovely, clean, with few people, and had a snack bar. The complimentary breakfast included most everything you would want. The bed was wonderful, with lots of pillows, and there were two TV's in the room. This hotel is very close to the airport, has a small casino inside, and the lobby/interior is large and very nice. They have an Outback Restaurant in the lobby. You will need a taxi to go most places, but the beach is in walking distance. If you don't care about the late check-in, then this is a great hotel.

“Perfect family vacation”

This hotel is beautiful and perfect specially for the good price they offer. The lobby is beautiful and well maintained with a nice pond in the middle of the hotel. The buffet breakfast is awesome and the happy hour priceless. They have a deli that offers pizza and hot dogs which worked out perfect for me since I have a 4 yr old who loves pizza. I really enjoyed my vacation and I would definitely go back.

“Excellent Hotel, Really enjoyed my stay”

Everything about this hotel was just great. The staff was very pleasant. The breakfast was very delicious. The room was breath taking with a fabulous view of the pool. The restaurants especially Outback Steakhouse was wonderful. My fiance and I enjoyed our stay. We couldn't have asked for anymore. Thanks to the staff of Embassy Suites Hotel & Casino.

“Great”

I visit Puerto Rico quite frequently for my job, and after staying at many different hotels thoughout the past few years, I will ONLY stay at this hotel going forward. It is close to the airport, convenient to everything, and the staff are sooooo nice. I've had a couple of problems even (my own doing), and they went way avove and beyond to help me!
