I was impressed the moment I arrived. The staff couldn't possibly be any better, on few occasions they guessed my wishes before I even asked. Food was very good, the variety and taste, it really was worth the price. The beach is huge and almost empty, you can have privacy if you want. Small village is just walking distance away. Subterranean river trip is main attraction. And the pool is even bigger than on the pictures. One of the best hotels in Philippines. Will return for sure.

My family stayed there for 3days back in August 2014. It was a great experience staying in this hotel.
Negative - limited choices for breakfast especially for balikbayan like us who misses traditional Filipino Food. Also, when the guest count is less than 50, there is no buffet but only A la carte. But it's ok considering the other positive, it compensates.
Positive- very warm welcome from Kuya Arthur (hotel van driver) very much informative and made us feel safe staying in Palawan. On arrival in the hotel, we received another warm welcome from the frontdesk staff. The room's back door locked was faulty but mended almost immediately. They serve the best friedrice that's super tasty you would want for more. Foodwise, the serving is rather big portions if you are not big eater.Their chef is very good.
Overall, highly recommended and will definitely stay there again in future. Kudos to all the staff especially to Edwin (waiter) and kuya Arthur (driver). The hotel is rated 3 star but their service is 5 star. I must say that Palaweno's are very much disciplined and I salute them.
Front desk and restaurant staff were cordial and accommodating. Best room - Suite #111. The beach is only a few steps away from the back sliding glass door and room is next to the lobby with coffee/tea-making facilities. The beach view was absolutely amazing!

The only beachfront hotel in Puerto Princesa. Airport Shuttle - charges depend on destination. Internet rates quoted on this …More
My mom and I stayed at Palo Alto for 2 nights before leaving Puerto Princesa for El Nido. This bed & breakfast was amazing! The free airport shuttle was timely and made getting to the b&b after our flight from Manila very easy. Once we arrived at Palo Alto, it was pure beauty. Draped florals hanging off of the exposed wooden structures, a quaint courtyard, and tropical trees growing throughout the property made Palo Alto a unique and gorgeous place to stay.
We went on the Underground River Tour organized by Palo Alto and our tour guide, Jim was great. Complimentary breakfasts each morning was delicious and their coffee is some of the best I've had anywhere!
The hotel staff was wonderful, from when we first arrived ,till we left, helpful ,so professional and made our comfort and stay as pleasant and problem free as possible. I asked for a early check in and was immediately given a cold drink while i waited, and soon after an upgraded room . I left the hotel to travel and booked another night online, when i arrived back the staff greeted me by name without me checking in or saying a word, a few minutes after i went into my room, The desk called to tell me they scheduled a free airport shuttle to get my party to the airport on time. I never even asked them for the service when i checked in.
The hotel is very nice and very plush, yet had reasonable rates. The accommodations were better than a 5 star hotel i stayed at in Makati, yet much more affordable. Along with the free airport shuttle service is free wifi thru most of the hotel. If i ever come back to Puerta Princessa i will stay here .
Hotel is slightly out of town but an excellent value. The only drawback is the availability of transportation out of the hotel location after dark. You can't walk to the main road because the rain frequently washes out the dirt road turning it to mud and impassable pools of water. The tricycles rarely have a reason to pass by the hotel and if they do they are full of passangers. The hotel was kind enough to provide free transportation on occasion but this was a little limiting. The have a beautiful pool, the gardens are well mainatined. The managment is solid and were able to arrange very good tours to the local sights. I would stay there again and would reccomend the location to travelers looking for a great value.
