“Serene, quiet and beautiful describe this destination.”
Victoria Resort is peaceful and gorgeous. The staff is extremely friendly, the food is excellent and it is in the middle of a golf course. They have a golf cart available at any time to take you to the beach. Walking there was easy enough though, because it's only about a quarter of a mile away! Food: so many fresh fruits, so many choices for entrees, including local favorites, cakes, fresh vegetables, soups, fresh breads, omelet station, carving station, casseroles, etc. It's a lovely place. All drinks are included but I was disappointed with the wine selection. Other than that, I highly recommend the Victoria Resort.
“Quiet paradise”
If you are looking for a quiet and complete stay, this is definitely your hotel. Stayed for two nights and I couldn't ask for more; is like a little piece of paradise, quiet and peaceful paradise on earth.
“One of our best vacations in the DR Puerto Plata area!”
My husband and I both really enjoyed our stay at the Victoria Resort. Staff was always courteous and helpful, and the resort itself was well maintained. Pool area was never crowded, and plenty of lounges there as well as at the beach. Towels for the pool/beach were left every day in our room, as well as soft drinks, beer and water in our frig for our use. The food was EXCELLENT at every meal, and the selection of drinks you could have was almost endless. Most of the area outside the resort was well lit at night if you wanted to walk to the nearby shopping plaza, and the local casino would pick you up at your hotel if requested. Several hotels in the area have closed since our last trip, but hoping this won't be one of them. Although we ourselves don't golf, the course looked green and well manicured. The sister property was also available to us for a nominal fee (by the day). Even though we have traveled to this area several times, we would return to this resort.
“FINALLY A HOTEL THAT I WAS LOOKING FOR”
No vulgar "music-noice", no infantil animation, but descent people, relaxing in a civilized environment. We go back in june.
“Can't wait to go again. I loved it.”
I was very impressed with the services when u needed anything. I loved it. Me an my boyfriend cant wait to go back. Very relaxing. Great for a get away from the busyness or crazyness u may have. Service was great . Very safe also.
“perfect Dominican vacation”
Victoria was a wonderful and quiet hotel located in the middle of the playa dorada golf course, me and my wife paid 10$ each per day to get access to Gran ventana across the street, and our vacation went from great to fantastic, and i definitely recommend this update, unless you like the absolute quiet of Victoria, everything was awesome, and we cannot wait to go back, the only negative is the internet and telephone services were very expensive internet was 6$ an hour, and you must log off before shutting down you computer or the clock will keep ticking, also the in room telephone is actually about 10$ a minute and not the .99c as advertised on the night stand next to the telephone, when i got home i saw my 5 minute calls were 30-40$ and not the 5$ i thought i was being charged, aside from these 2 negatives, our whole vacation was absolutely perfect.
“Can't wait to go back!!”
Everything exceeded our expections. I'm not a fan of buffets but their food was exceptional and the service staff very attentive. The room was very nice. It looked like everything had recently been remodeled with the exception of the floor. The bathroom was totally remodeled with the exception of the fixtures. Those need to be replaced. The room had a frig but it was only stocked with 2 beers and 2 soft drinks. They could have put more in there, especially since beverages were included. They have two pools, one adult only. Both were very clean with plenty of lounge chairs. They each have their own bars and they were definately not stingy with the drinks. We're planning another trip in December or January and will definately stay here again!
“love the staff”
The hotel staff was so great that nothing else mattered.
“Good hotel”
The overall inpression of the hotel is good: - Great buffet (even for vegans like us) - Good service and friendly staff - Close to a beautiful beach - Clean and comfortable rooms The only downside was the so called "gym", which was extremely sparsely decorated with malfunctioning equipment and an aircondition which did not do its job. Running on the beach and bodyweight exercises was preferable.
“The Victoria Staff will take good care of you!”
great location, close to beach and a shopping mall. food was fantastic (surprise!) ocean not very picturesque, but the ocean and scenery near San Fort Felipe is breathtaking. I took a 3 hour city tour and it made me grateful for what I have. nice resort for relaxation. my room could have been a little cleaner, but I was only in there to sleep. The staff makes this hotel. Beautiful people inside and out. Leave the housekeeper a tip and little dollar store treats(coloring books, crayons, candy) to take home to the children. This is a poor country and life isn't easy for these ladies. beware of the vendors in the shopping mall across the way. browse several stores and compare prices and a willingness to haggle before buying anything, and know the currency conversion rates! the horse and carriage drivers are very aggressive. be prepared for that when leaving the property. I will definitely return to the Victoria.
