“Not the best , but not the worst eather .”

We were spending in Grand Ventana Thanksgiving week (November 23 ,2011) When we get to the hotel in first place seemed really nice but after we get to the room there was few thinks right away which we had to report: First no light in the main entrance, phone wasn't working and the small fridge didn’t froze at all. The people working in the resort ere super nice and really helpful.

Dining
Buffet - not recommended. It’s better to booked ala carte restaurants just after coming to the resort.
Nightlife
There is no club in the resort, so if you want to have fun after shows which are done at 11 pm you need to go to the other resort , it’s like 7 min walking.
Events and shows
Shows were really funny , even if they don’t have something about their culture those guys know how to do shows.
Outdoors or beach
When we were there was raining and cloudy so the weather wasn't nice to us. People from there were walking all the time trying to sell something to tourists but is understandable, they have to work . I even bought few things from them, hand painted pictures - beautiful !

“Nice stay”

This hotel was great for the short duration we were there. The beach was close, the pool was nice (there was volleyball in the pool), there seems to have always been available "palapas" under which to sit/ lounge at the beach. The food was good, not fantastic. We missed the booking for one of the fancier restaurants, and had to eat supper at the buffet. The lunch at the beachside snack bar/ restaurant had better food than the main buffet restaurant. Drinks were a plenty, you could get knock-off brands all for free, such as triple sec, amaretto, sambuca, but I had to pay extra for brand name cognac...there was no port available to go with my cigar. All in all, nice hotel with friendly staff, and talented dancers put on a great nightly show.

Other
Dune buggy/ ATV adventure. Recommend you rent an ATV or a Dune buggy for a few hours and go with the group tour. You will get dirty, but there is a beach at the 1/2 way point, so you can jump in and get refreshed.

“If you just want to relax”

The hotel is close to the airport which is a big plus. We arrived and our room was not ready and we had to wait for over 3 hours, I guess that would have been ok if it was not raining. The food at the hotel was much better than we had expected, especially at an all-inclusive hotel. The rooms need to be updated, the bed is firm and the TV is old, small, and had 4 English channels...when it rains every day you watch more TV than you really plan on. There is no iron in the room, you have to send your clothes out to get pressed, it's cheap but a little bit of a pain so did it when you first get to your room. There is virtually no night life at the hotel but there are a couple of bars right down the road. The hotel is good if you are looking to relax by the pool or beach, get some food and some drinks. The staff is friendly and the crowd was a mix of families and couples from all over. The staff was also very good with kids, we saw a lot of staff members interacting with kids all over the resort. The staff tried hard to get people involved in games in and around the pool and at night, they did their best to make sure the guests were having fun.

The room was clean and nice..just missing an iron...so i was slightly crushed.. The hotel don't provide one..The entertainment was a joke...I wanted to relax and I did...it's not a party spots for young people..The best thing was the drinks..

“Bring a travel iron with you”

We had a very good stay at this hotel, the staff is very pleasant and helpful and the food although a bit too salty was satisfactory. One side note however, if you plan to stay at this hotel bring your own travel iron as they do not have one anywhere in the hotel. They expect you to use their cleaning service at your cost.

“It was as beautiful as I had hoped.”

This hotel was great, the staff were always friendly, the grounds immaculate, our room was very clean and the food was outstanding. We were told our first night that we would not go hungry and we didn't. I could have done without the vendors on the beach but for the most part you say no and they leave you alone. I would come back again in a heartbeat, good value for the price.

“Girls getaway”

We arrived at the resort and the staff was extremely helpful and always delivered with a smile. The food was great at the main buffett restaurant. the organization with the other restaurants was great. Make your reservations when you arrive for the days you are staying and you will have no problems. The entertainment was great and very engaging with everyone.

Definitely recommend. Great resort, staff was very friendly, food and entertainment was good. Room was comfortable and always cleaned when we came back in the afternoon. the only issue we had was with the sink. I drain was slow.. but we didn't mind we were hardly in there!!!

“On top of their game”

We could not have had better weather...Coming from winter in Upstate New York where we measure snow in feet instead of inches. The evening meals at the specialty restaurants were not disappointing. The hotel seamed to be very well staffed. The staff really seemed to enjoy their jobs as well. We found the hotel to be very clean and well maintained. No problems that I can think of. I would recommend this resort to friends looking for a great beach, very nice pool, plenty of chaise loungers and umbrella's,affordable price, close to airport, close to golf. I had my best golf game ever with the help from my caddy Jose. Top notch! First time using expedia and will do it again.
