“Life Styles Resort, Puerto Plata”

All hotel staff extremely accomodating to your needs, even when extremely busy, they will do what they can to help you. Hotel entertainment (patio parties, and evening dance shows) is impressive, and very courtious and personalble. A very fun group of people to talk to and do activities with.

“hotel front desk rude”

front desk made everything very unpleasant. they did not want to recognize my reservation ,( for 2 people) although they did not want to accept it. check in extremely long. , they do not attend to your needs or any remorse for the inconvience made to you. the room is good however, food is ok ( typical buffet food, not great but not bad either) aside from rude front desk, hotel is ok i highly don't recommend this hotel because of the front desk staff

“Back from the 5th time Lifestyle, 2nd time Crown Residences”

Mariano at the reception at Crown Residences is super helpful and completely professional. They staff in the Bellini restaurant were attentive and quick and the pizza chef was bang on. We know quite a number of the staff having been so many times and next time I will post all their names as a thank you! You cant say enough good things about the employees at any part of the resort. Keep in mind that this resort has varying levels of a wrist band system that allows you extra perks and services. I am always white band, cheap carribean, even booking with expedia. I, however, consider myself cheap Canadian so, whatever. The staff would never treat you differently on a personal level as it more to do with the areas that one can enter and the top shelf stuff that you can access. I am perfectly happy not having to park my golf cart whenever i move around the complex, please note that it is quite expansive and the residences are quite far from the main hotel. But since my friend and I are too impatient to wait for the shuttle we just walk over in a couple of minutes as to not waste anytime (dominican time=no rush).

Area recommendations

If you want to try amazing local fish, catch a cab to Maimon (about 15 mins west of Cofresi. Excellent! Try the contorro with tostones! We always rent a car at the airport, ask for Madeline at Nelly. This lets us get back into Puerto Plata and go to Tam Tam on the Malecon for some real Mangu, the hotel mangu just isn't like it should be, but its hard to keep mangu heated on a buffet, in all fairness to the hotel. For a local bar scene, go to 16 de agosto (street name). Ask a local what times it will be open til as the city has restrictions on what time they can party until. Go to La Sirena to see what a DR Walmart might look like. Go to Pizzatta on the Malecon to try some fresh empanadas and support the local economy! Go to Playa Dorada for your toursity knicknacks. Bring down school supplies and used/new clothing and drop it off at the schools/community centres. Munoz has places and Westjet allows a 50lb charity piece of luggage per passenger, free of charge. Head up the mountain ont he cable car, go to Pure nightclub for all night party (formerly Copa). Hit Rodeway for a really dominican nightclub. Do it all once and then do it all again as you will love it and want to see all the same wonderful people again!

“nice resort but be mindful of hidden fees (please read if not a U.S. citizen)”

terrible ordeal with hidden charges i booked the reservation thru expedia and when i got to the resort i was told i had to pay an additional $100 per night because some people on the reservation were not U.S. citizens. so if youre going to travel to this resort and are not a U.S. citizen be prepared to pay extra fees that expedia does not inform you of when you make the reservation.

“Best Resort in Puerto Plata”

This is my second time in Lifestyle, we went the firts time to the Tropical now we go to the Crown Suites. There are many hotels in Puerto Plata, but this is one of the best hotel. They have very large rooms, with nice views. The Hotel is located in the Cofresi area. Book by Expedia and you can acces VIP Beach. The only problem is that the VIP Beach is always full and you can not enjoy relaxing in this area, we have to go the other side of the beach. They need to put more places to eat the buffet since casablanca is always full. The stay was very good.

“Cant wait to return. I had a wonderful time at the resort”

The service was excellent. Someone was always there to meet your needs. The staff made you feel so welcome, very friendly and courteous. The food was excellent xxxxxxx. I have already recommended this hotel to my friends and family. See you soon ;-))

“Excellent trip”

Fantastic place for us was an experience to visit a second time, this hotel really had a great time, with quality service throughout the hotel staff, spacious, clean, very good air conditioning, excellent location. Ultimately for us was very good trip, which met all our expectations.

This is a fairly large complex, situated in an excellent place where you can enjoy and relax at a time. In the vicinity are also located some beautiful villas, many pools, beach, excellent staff.
