Beautiful well run all inclusive, with great food

Pros: The bed was comfy and the room was right off the beach
Cons: mosquitoes control
Location: We never left the facility because Iberostar had so many things to do & the entertainment was great with the 4 main singers & dancers being fantastic
we had a lovely time and we wish that we were back there right now! Would go back in a heart beat!

Good stay - Definitely NOT a 5 star resort

Cons: The staff was hit or miss. Some were extremely nice and welcoming, while others not so much. Food was good. Pina Coladas tasted like ice.
Location: Relatively nearby there is Ocean World where you can swim with dolphins,etc. Also not too far off is Monkey Jungle is you're into Ziplining.
Overall I had a good relaxing time at Iberostar. I would definitely not consider it a 5 star hotel (that's how it is advertised). Cons: Beach was full of seaweed. Staff could be friendlier overall. Frozen drinks were horrible. Have to pay for Wi-Fi! Pros: Nice pool side activities. Plenty of food. Price was pretty good.

The hotel grounds is clean, friendly staff, great

We went as a family and we had fun. The food was awesome and the staff was friendly. A big shout out to Joel,Joseph, Genesis in the dining room. You guys rock. And Felix from the swim up bar. The excursions too was awesome. Thanks everyone.

not very sharp hotel

Pros: cleanliness
Cons: food flavor
Location: over .5hr driving for any type of excursions unless you like shopping, a mall around the block about ten minutes driving
food had no flavor very blah blah, reservation required to eat in restaurant hotels which is stupid, three restaurant available but only two opens every night, hotel facilities were clean but colors were dull and fading, bathroom was clean but a lot of repairs to make it clean and blah blah, not very happy with bathroom appearance, big pool for adults and children, liquor was local with premixed drinks and cheap unless you ask for premium and limited brands. recommend mamajuana only from the lobby bar food 24hrs in different spots, buffet was not open 24 hrs, a lot of food varieties in buffet but no flavor, very sad, personally i don't recommend this hotel to any of my family or friends for the same price or a couples of bucks more you can get a better hotel experience and apperance with better food and drinks puerto plata airport is about 25 minutes driving, santiago airport is cheap but about 1.5 hr driving.

Great vacation spot overall. The hotel rooms are a bit tired but the staff were great. There's lots of activities to enjoy during the day. Unfortunately the beach was very windy and the ocean rough but otherwise beautiful.

Very close to the beach. Most staff were friendly

Hotel is on the beach. We used the pool mostly though. Alot of seaweed. Pool was constantly being maintained by staff for falling leaves, etc. Rooms not that great. "Old decor". Bathroom tub old and not cleaned well during our stay. Food was mostly good. Shows were nice.

Wonderful

Loved it especially the food and entertainment. Only complaint is that they had damaged pool sticks and no one was there to help with the water sports, you could die and no one cares as long as you sign contract stating they're not responsible. Everything else was great. They even have a kids club where your little ones are entertained while you do your thing...there's a casino right next to place too...loved loved resort..can't wait to return

Wonderful Vacation

Cons: The shows at night could use some improvement to make them kid friendly and more entertaining.
Location: Lots of exclusions you will never be bored. The 27 Waterfalls safari trip is worth it and deep sea fishing was lots of fun.
First time visiting this resort and the whole experience was wonderful and would definitely visit again. Food and drinks were great, when you are friendly with the staff they will take care of you. Room was always kept clean with plenty of towels. The beach was beautiful the staff had lots of activities to keep you entertained the whole time. Pool area was large we never felt crowed.
