A good Hotel with Beach access.

Pros: We liked the quality of the restaurants and bars. We also enjoyed the various facilities and the beach area. Our Grandsons also enjoyed the ice cream.
Cons: At check in after a long journey there was only one staff member on duty attending to people ahead of us, and nobody available to attend to luggage .
Location: We enjoyed the beach location and local shopping facilities.
Check in could have been more efficient. Overall we were pleased with the Hotel facilities. We were on Holiday with our Son, Daughter in Law and 2 young Grandsons. The children's pool and the main pool were both very good. The bars and entertainment were also good.the restaurants were well arranged and the food was excellent.our room was a long way from reception and with young children this was a little problematic when returning with them from the restaurant area in the evenings. Overall the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great location on the Beach @ Playa Dorada

Location: Sosua, Sea world, Maimon
Its one of the best hotels in the area. Hotel staff are nice people. Willians, Felipe, Lubee, @ these bartenders @ the lobby bar are awesome. The same for the ones at pool... great people. Julian, one of the Managers is doing an outstanding job making sure guests are getting what they want. The brazilian restaurant needs some improvement. The food, the music, the staff needs to pick up some speed. In general, it needs to be like an authentic Brazilian Churrascaria.

Long awaited getaway

Pros: We enjoyed the quality of the food, entertainment, hospitality, architectural design, and location.
Cons: The air conditioning units should be cleaned. The room had a moldy smell and a majority of that odor came from the unit. We found ourselves coughing.
Location: Great location and it was accessible to snorkling and other activities.
We were impressed by the staff, both professionally and personality-wise. The beaches were beautiful and the food was delicious.

Not as lively as the other Iberostar hotel

Staff is courteous but indifferent. Not receptive to guests' presence unlike the Iberostar of playa del Carmen. Need more lively activities that will engage guests to enjoy the paradise that it's supposed to be. The food is just up to par. The hacienda restaurant's food is just not appetizing at all and should just be replaced with a different theme altogether. The rodizio is better. The mercado has the best food on wednesday with their mini lobster although the staff seems Inattentive at times. You always have to catch their attention if you want something. Though I always leave tip because I know they work hard as well. Camelo was the best waiter And has a ready tune for us when we get him at the table . All in all, it was just an okay stay, not the best as I expected it to be from the other Iberostar resorts that I've been to before.

I've been going to Iberostar for years. In 2013 I found it to have been over populated with locals on the weekend . I voiced my opinion on that to management when my personal belongings were taking while I was swimming in the pool. This vacation I found it to be much of the same if not progressively getting worse . I had my suntan oil stolen on day then my Giants towel stolen a few days later. I've also noticed that your drinks are now watered down especially the frozen drinks that are not even frozen it's pure water. The piña colada is the worst . My deepest disappointment was the change in Brugal RD own Rum. How do you take the most popular Rum out of your resort?? I was also deeply upset over the food in the Buffet. The lines to wait for the main course blocking the sides is poorly set up people were fighting over it as if that's what a vacation is about!!!!! The down grade on the food quality and alcohol I believe is to pay for the swim up bar installed in October . My final complaint the pool is a zoo kids splashing water on the deep side of the pool is annoying. They have 2 pools why are they on the deepest side and in the jacuzzi? If you had people cleaning the pool advise that children should be on a designated area and the loud groups in the middle around the swim up bar and the people that want to enjoy relaxation at the end it would be a whole lot better! I spent 10,000.00 and was more stressed out there then at work. I'm already researching for a new hotel

Very Good as Usual

I stayed at Iberostar Costa Dorada For the 3rd time and that says a lot of the hotel. Food Here is Pretty Good especially at Dinner we were 5 adults 2 kids and 2 infants we reserved for the international A la Carte Restaurant and the Brazilian, they Are Both AMAZING My only Complain is that they should have Lobsters In the International A la Carte Restaurant because that's the Seafood.

This is paradise!!!

Pros: Everything!
Location: Variety of restaurants to choose from, nightclub, variety of activities for adults & family.
The overall décor is beautiful, the view is amazing, all the food is fresh and delicious. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The front desk was very accommodating and considerate. We were a large group of about 30 and everyone was happy and also give this resort 5 stars. No one wanted to leave and there was something for everyone to enjoy. We will definitely return in 2015, only this time the group will be even larger!!!

Clean hotel, great service and friendly staff. Brazilian and international restaurants are good but buffet is of superior quality and big variety . We enjoyed it more than the restaurants. Beach is not the best. Pool is clean. Entertainment is ok.

Relaxing in the DR

Everything was great except for the drinks. Extremely watered down, not enough alcohol or cheap brands. I don't drink a lot but I do want a good choice brand on occasion.
