“Will Never go back”
The food in this place was horrible, you could smell the bad odor and could tell the food was being reused!!! The food was not fresh or tasty at all. Some of the male guests had prostitutes as their guests. One prostitue had her teen daughter and toddler son with her. The didn't have any programs for teens and I didn't not want my son exploring on his own when there were prostitutes there!! I have been to this beautiful island many times but this is the first time I ever had this experience!!!
“the worst resort ever”
the food was awful, the food that was served for lunch was saved for the evening. the drink were hot, when they were supposed to be served cold. the bread was stale. the beache was extremely filthy. I am suprised that this resort is still open. the way this resort is operating it appears that it would be a matter of time before it shuts down completly.
“Not IMPRESSED at all, I've stayed at Better resorts..”

“Its True What They Say...”
Planned a "Single Man" trip to Puerto Plata... Read the reviews about this place on expedia.com, Bookit.com etc. Expedia had the best rates so I booked with expedia. Ok, Saw a few reviews from past guest stating that they didnt have hot water in thier room. I also experienced this. Unable to take a "hot" shower till day#3 on a 4 day stay. (I did wash, it just wasnt that comfortable Didnt matter much because I was hardly at the resort in my suite. Stayed a night in a hotel in Sosua one night and they didnt have hot water iether so...go figure) Made a total of 4 calls about the hot water... Saw a few reviews stating that the food left much to be desired. I also experienced this but to the defence of the resort, Thats just how it is anywhere you go in northern DR The food is just different from the food in the US. (will make you have a new found respect for the USDA) Oh and if you can, Bring your own wine... you can drink DR wine all day long and never get happy. How they manage to water down wine? I have no Idea but if you enjoy a good glass wine you will only be satisfied with DR wine if you are the type of person who "appreciates differences" The beach was Awsome Great shaded view from my suite aswell at the restaraunt that serves breakfast. Breath taking view of the beach running to the mountains in the distance. Like something you only see on TV or in pictures. I will make sure that when I return in March and then next Sept to check hot water when I first check in...
“Perfect Size! Beach View Dining! Great Time!”
We went with a group of 9 in August of 2010. Great time was had by all. It was great to be able to dine with a view of the beach. I believe this resort offers you the best beach location in Puerto Plata. You can get from your room to the pool, bars, restaurants, and beach with a very short walk. I paid for an ocean view room and didn't actually like the view because there were some palm trees and a basketball court outside my room which was not the ambiance I was looking for. However, the hotel staff quickly changed my room to one of my liking. I was very happy with my new room and quick customer service. The specialty restaurants were great and the buffet always had something for everyone. Only complaint came.. .only one key per room...and from the kids... no chicken nuggets... other than that we were extremely happy with our vacation. Also...check out their magic show if you can... it was amazing.
“great for the price dont believe the bad reviews”
The hotel was great for the price. dont believe the bad reviews because this is just an average 3 star resort. yes there are alot of locals on weekends. the rooms are really nice and comfy. the pools are great and the pool bar isawesome. thejacuzzi is great too just that small children are not aloud inside because the chlorine is too much i guess. the beach is nice but if u want big waves this beach is not for you. the water is calm a bit rough during sunset but nice white sand. locals try to sell u stuff but just say no thank you unless u want to buy something. the food is very good just that there isnt that much of a variety in the buffet but still awesome taste. the best parts are the night clubs inside the resort and outside
“"Does not meet ALL-INCLUSIVE criteria"”
VERY UNPLEASED!! SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED AN ALL INCLUSIVE HOTEL.
“Good Time in Playa Dorada”
I had a good time no hassles no problems. The staff was excellent! My room was very nice. The food was good good choices
“Not impressed”
Good if you want to gatter with local people and a lot of kids, if you are in your honeymoon don't go! Would be a nightmare!!!
“Not impressed at all.”
