Everything about this hotel is geared to the customer , which makes a nice change in a commercial world. From the truly awesome foyer to the many supporting staff , who seem to be constantly around the place , everything is clearly for your comfort.
The entertainment staff are higher profile now than on previous occasions when we have visited and , as well as being amusing and efficient in their allocated tasks, they are ever ready to chat , entertain and otherwise offer themselves to help " if there's a problem, come to me; I will help you" This acceptance of responsibility is truly refreshing.
The food is excellent , but this is my only reservation; the mealtime titles 'Mexican', 'Oriental', 'Andalusian' etc. are somewhat token. There is no great variety in this respect from day to day. This is not to say that the food quality and sufficiency suffers; it is just that the signature dishes are not marked enough . I am prepared to accept that this is to cater for less-adventurous diners.
The serving/clearing staff are unobtrusively efficient and swift at attending to table and one never has to wait very long for attention.
Booked for a week. Hotel reception manned 24/7 by friendly and helpful staff. Rooms very spacious and for the first time ever a comfortable double Bed! We were in room 423 so although we had quite a walk to get to room were not disappointed - corner balcony which has sea view and overlooked the pool. Breakfast really good choice but although "English sausage" they were cheap ones so tasted like it. Had dinner a couple of nights and was pleasantly surprised as didn't go until late at the choice still available - although they did seem to like pork steaks cooked in a variety of ways. Room cleaned every day by very pleasant maids. Only thing to fault was that although their was fridge in room would have been nice to have had tea/coffee making facilities as you were asked not to take drinks/food out of restaurant and I have a partner who doesn't do breakfast but loves a cup of coffee in the morning and I like a cuppa in the afternoon sometimes.
We have just returned from this hotel and have to say it really was a lovely place to stay. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly. I wasn't sure what to expect, it is a small hotel but it has everything you need to make for a relaxing holiday. The swimming pool is not heated and it was a bit cold for February. The food was excellent, there was plenty of choice every day and it all looked fresh and appetising.
Traveller from Isle of Wight
Located on the south west of Tenerife, 400 meters from Playa de la Arena and two kilometers from Los Gigantes cliffs. Rooms …More
This is the third time we have stayed at the apartments. It is in a good location and our room had a partial sea view. The staff are very friendly and helpful and our room was cleaned regularly. We were self catering so did not use all of the facilities at the Vigilia Park
The towns of Los Gigantes, Puerto Santiago, and Playa de la Arena are on the west coast of the island of Tenerife, just south of the famous Los Gigantes cliffs. The three are adjacent to one another, with Puerto Santiago in the middle. Of the towns, Puerto de Santiago has more local Canarian residents and traditional Canarian restaurants. Playa de la Arena boasts a gently sloping, black-sand beach.
