Overall an enjoyable experience particularly outstanding was the catering. However disappointed on arrival by the cost of upgrades - we paid for an upgraded second room to allow for closeness only to find one room on 4th floor and other on 7th floor. This was exacerbated by a niggling complaint which was not resolved at all during the stay- it was not possible to use the internal room phone in 4th floor room to contact room on 7th floor. This was reported on a daily basis to no avail. Also it was impossible to get a sunbed by the pool as contrary to hotel policy towels were placed on beds from very early morning until early evening and beds were unoccupied for long periods but reserved by leaving towels on them. however could not fault the staff who were very helpful.
Booked for a week. Hotel reception manned 24/7 by friendly and helpful staff. Rooms very spacious and for the first time ever a comfortable double Bed! We were in room 423 so although we had quite a walk to get to room were not disappointed - corner balcony which has sea view and overlooked the pool. Breakfast really good choice but although "English sausage" they were cheap ones so tasted like it. Had dinner a couple of nights and was pleasantly surprised as didn't go until late at the choice still available - although they did seem to like pork steaks cooked in a variety of ways. Room cleaned every day by very pleasant maids. Only thing to fault was that although their was fridge in room would have been nice to have had tea/coffee making facilities as you were asked not to take drinks/food out of restaurant and I have a partner who doesn't do breakfast but loves a cup of coffee in the morning and I like a cuppa in the afternoon sometimes.
We have just returned from this hotel and have to say it really was a lovely place to stay. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly. I wasn't sure what to expect, it is a small hotel but it has everything you need to make for a relaxing holiday. The swimming pool is not heated and it was a bit cold for February. The food was excellent, there was plenty of choice every day and it all looked fresh and appetising.

This is the third time we have stayed at the apartments. It is in a good location and our room had a partial sea view. The staff are very friendly and helpful and our room was cleaned regularly. We were self catering so did not use all of the facilities at the Vigilia Park
The towns of Los Gigantes, Puerto Santiago, and Playa de la Arena are on the west coast of the island of Tenerife, just south of the famous Los Gigantes cliffs. The three are adjacent to one another, with Puerto Santiago in the middle. Of the towns, Puerto de Santiago has more local Canarian residents and traditional Canarian restaurants. Playa de la Arena boasts a gently sloping, black-sand beach.
