I had a great stay at this hotel. It was in a great location, right in Plaza Santa Ana where there are a lot of tapas bars nearby. Hotel was an easy walk to Puerto del Sol. I felt safe in the area and the hotel was very hip. Front desk staff was nice and helpful. The room was clean and the bathroom was pretty big for European standards. Only fault about the room was there was only 1 outlet in the entire place. Just one so I had to charge my stuff one at a time and then my husband's stuff. Kind of annoying. All the room's electronics (tv, fridge, lamp) were plugged into outlets that were under the floorboards! The hotel listened to my request upon check in and gave me what I wanted. Since I was celebrating my anniversary, I came back to my room after a day out and found a bottle of champagne! Very nice of them. There is a lounge/club on the roof with great views of the Plaza but the music does get loud. A tip I picked up from other reviews is ask for a room not facing the Plaza nor on a higher floor as you will hear the people yelling below and the thumping music from above. We got a room facing the back and on the second floor and we slept in peace. We didn't have a view but it didn't bother me so much since we were out all day. All in all, I enjoyed my stay and if I'm ever in Madrid again, I'll stay here once more.
"Great location, friendly staff, great breakfast!"
Location is perfect for anyone who wants to see the museums, galleries, shops and other sights of Madrid. Most can be easily reached on foot. Dozens if not 100's restaurants within 200m radius of hotel so fantastic choice. Staff and particularly reception staff very helpful. We had 8 nights in one of the lower priced rooms which was adequate but not luxurious. Big bed, good bath and shower but lighting level a bit low and the strangest bedside lights ever! The room was on top floor and had Velux windows which added to dark feeling. However, that apart really enjoyable stay and would be very happy to stay there again. Buffet breakfast really good and worth every penny. One of my best hotels choices!
I recently stayed at Villa Real while visiting Madrid. Our experience was great. The hotel is very clean, staff is super helpful and its close proximity to all the attractions you would want to experience while in Madrid. We had a nice room the overlooked the square outside the hotel that was always buzzing and entertaining. The comfort of the hotel was top notch.. I felt like I was at home. My wife & I already long to go back to Madrid, no question we'll be staying at Villa Real again.
This hotel is right next to the metro. Only 5 minutes walk to Plaza del Sol. Walking distance to Santa Ana and plaza del angel which has amazing menus del dia. Room was really clean, had everything you needed. Lots of toiletries and even a hair dryer with a diffuser(for curly hair, if your a man reading this and have no idea what that is!). No tea or coffee but the best coffee is out there in a taverna at the end of the road! All in all I would have no hesitation going back there!!
Just stayed a night but very impressed. Easy to get to (Metro Sevilla) and only minutes from centre. Staff very helpful, hotel clean, modern and (despite its location) quiet. Good breakfast, have already recommended to family.
