“not worth the price”
the hotel was remodeling, so no room service and lacks many services of a good hotel for the price they ask for, not worth it. What if it's worth is the location of the hotel
“Gone to the Dogs”
No breakfast (in bed or otherwise); no restaurant; no bar; no concierge. Wilted flowers (which typify the place). I now understand the two-for-one "deal". The room itself was very nice (though I had to re-cycle the wi-fi more than once). Mine (#2) was at the back and therefore spared the traffic noise from the very busy street ithe hotel fronts. (#8 looked even nicer.) The maid service was exemplary. There are two dogs that seem to be in the room with you - who bark/howl at least two hours every night. This place has no association with the altogether better other Meson de.... Puebla is overrun with "boutique" hotels so a "deal" should be easily found.
“Nice small hotel in a beautiful old building in a great location”
This small 6 or 7 room hotel is in a classic old building in a great location in the historic old city about three blocks from the Zocolo and the main Cathedral. The room was quiet and clean with 20 foot ceilings that gave it a very spacious feeling. While the bed was a bit hard for our taste, we had no problem sleeping. On the first night some of the lights didn't work, but the problem was taken care of the next day when we explained the situation to the staff. Our son stayed in a much larger comparably priced hotel, which we thought was not nearly as nice. While definitely not having the service level and amenities of a 4 or five star hotel, we thought it was a good value and would definitely recommend it to other travelers.
