"Quiet location with great waterfront ambiance"
The Masthead is an eclectic assembly of waterfront rooms and cottages, and no two are alike. Located in Provincetown's quiet West End, it is far away from any sources of food or drink with the exception of the very fine (and expensive) Red Inn, so be prepared to walk, bike, or cab for anything outside of the room except hanging out on the deck or in the water. The highlight of the location is the massive tidal flat in front of the rooms that goes on nearly forever at low tide. You can walk out on that exposed sand flat for the better part of a mile if you so desire, and there are many treasures to discover. The rooms are exactly as represented on the internet, and as this is our third time there we have worked our way up the food chain. You get what you pay for in terms of views and room size/amenities, which is fair and in general the Masthead provides a very good value for the area. The location is somewhat weather sensitive (if it rains you will need a car, a cab, or good foul-weather gear). Parking is limited and tight, but adequate. Most guests are mature couples of all kinds, with the occasional lucky young family. Families with teenage kids may do better elsewhere as there is little for teenage kids to do on location. We like the quiet ambiance and great presence of the water right at your door - if you are looking for a quiet romantic getaway on the water and are willing to walk a bit for food and entertainment you will enjoy your stay at The Masthead

"Our mini vacation"
I would give this hotel a 4 star rating for sure. The hotel staff that we dealt with were friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself is huge with many many amenities and things to do. We'd love to come back sometime more towards the end of June when the season is in full swing and the weather is better. The room we had was clean and the kitchen was stocked with what would be needed for cooking and eating etc. Dishes, glasses, mugs, pots and pans etc.... The only thing we weren't real thrilled with was the bed in the private bedroom. We didn't need to use the pull out sleepers so I can't speak about them. The sofas themselves were very comfortable. All in all, a very nice place to stay and not to far from the main area of Provincetown.

"Excellent place to stay"
I was fortunate enough to find this gem in P-town while I was there for work. The 8 Dyer Hotel is very stylish and welcoming. Brandon cooks an amazing breakfast with a lot of options to choose from and he was very helpful letting me know where to go around town and how to get back to Boston on time for my flight. He even woke up super early to make me breakfast so I would have food before I left, which I thought was amazing. There's always snacks and coffee available at the front and I felt right at home since I walked in. I got one of the upstairs bedrooms (Penthouse 2) with a fireplace, whirlpool bathtub and a King size bed. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom is small, but there's plenty of space for everything you need. They have great amenities and a great living room area to hang out. Overall this was a great place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone that is coming into P-town. I wish I would have been here during the summer to enjoy the pool and bikes they have.

"Nicest B&B in Provincetown!!"
Excellent customer service. Cory at the Inn was fantastic. Even before we checked in he was accommodating with our late check-in time and parking. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. They even left the light in our room on and classical music playing which was a real nice touch. The Inn was very clean and had all bases covered, from water, sunscreen, comfy chairs, and umbrellas. Also a great location! Delicious homemade breakfast. Tremendous recommendations about fun things to do around town, even on a rainy day. The Tea Party Event was a 2 minute walk and was incredible! Can't wait to go back. Thank you Cory and Curtis, we love you guys!

"Nice b&b close to everything but off the main road"
We really enjoyed our stay. Very clean and comfortable room. Gary was super nice and accommodating. The breakfast was great - amazing baked goods! It was walkable to everything but a bit off the main street which was nice.
