“Great location, would definetly go back!”

Every contact I had with staff at the hotel was very pleasant and helpful. They extended our check out time to accomodate our schedule without question. The hotel was nicely decorated, up to date, and clean. The beds and pillows were comfy. The location was great for exploring downtown by foot. Pretty much close to everything. We walked to Brown University buildings, clubs, restaurants, and the mall. We would definetly go back!

“Fantastic hotel!!!”

After a very long day of travel we arrived 12 hours late to the hotel due to flight delays and were exhausted, but were happily surprised by the friendly staff and amazing hotel! The front desk staff were helpful and accomodating, while the room was beautiful! We were only there for one night, but wished we could have stayed longer. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a fabulous place to stay in Providence! It is located right next to Providence Place Mall and was a short walk to shops and rental car locations. I can't wait for the chance to go back again in the future!

Getting there
It is about a $30 taxi ride from PVD airport to the hotel.
Shopping
Providence Place Mall is right next door!
Dining
Temple Restaurant is located right in the hotel! We did not get a chance to eat there, but the menu and decor were beautiful!

“Had a wonderful Stay”

We just had a wonderful stay at the Rennasiance Hotel. We enjoyed the view of the capital building next door from our room, and we toured the capital as well. We went to the Waterfire Exhibit on the river and the mall is within easy walking distance with plenty of shops and restaurants. The Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

“Excellent Hotel in a Convenient Location”

The hotel is the historic building, close to the local Capitol Hill, the Waterfire show, the shopping mall (if somebody is interested in shopping). The staff is polite and can provide the bunch of maps and route directions to Newport as well. Very quite, comfortable hotel with the rooms in excellent conditions, clean and cozy. We visited Providence on the 4th of July long week end, and the rates were fair as well.

Area recommendations
I would recommend this neighborhood.

“Will definately stay there on my next visit to Brown University.”

The history of this building is very interesting. The completion of the hotel tastefully incorporated icons of the Masonic heritage, artfully the famous graffiti walls were also brought into the decor. These paintings are at first somewhat confusing but once the history is known are very endearing. The hotel was clean, convienient to Brown University, although beware the one way streets! and the food was of excellent quality the only thing that distinguished this hotel from a five star stay were the bathroom amenieties. Parking is priced somewhat high for an over night stay but convienience of such in a down town area was worth it.

Getting there
Fly into Providence airpoirt and drive 15 minutes straight into down town

“Great Service.”

I went to Providence to visit my son at school. While there I tripped and fell. I mentioned it to the hotel staff. They provided me with the names of local chiropractors, massage therapists and even sent me a get well cheese platter. Very attentive.

“will stay here again when in Providence”

Excellent location for shopping, strolling, and Waterfire.Excellent restaurant and bar downstairs. Excellent room service. Very helpful front desk staff. I will stay here again next year.

Events and shows
This is an excellent time to visit Providence. We saw the Waterfire, lighting and the Pumpkin display at the Roger Williams Park Zoo in the same trip,a beautiful fall experience.

“Good Quality Hotel”

While centrally located and convenient to stores at Providence Place, the hotel neighborhood is rather sterile. The adjacent State House is austere with a poorly landscaped site. Next time, I would arrive by Amtrak as the station is only a short walk from the hotel. This would avoid the unpleasant drive on Interstate 95 and the rather expensive hotel parking charge.

Area recommendations
Head for College Hill and Brown University. Walk the length of historic Benefit Street. This will offer a pleasant contrast to the poorly redeveloped downtown business center.
Dining
I was doubtful by the name but Mill's Tavern Restaurant is truly a fine eating establishment with a well seasoned staff.
