We did not stay!!! Our decision to leave was a combination of factors. When we checked in the manager attempted to charge us $25 more than the confirmed price with Expedia due to "taxes and fees." When questioned (and shown the confirmation email) he lowered the price some (still $16 more) and we decided to stay. When we got to the room we found out that we had no internet, ants crawling on the walls in the bathroom, and a broken toilet.
My husband attempted to speak to the manager three different times. After the third conversation with no resolution we left the hotel. We were only in the room for about 20 minutes but chose not to stay because of the conditions and the dismissive attitude of the manager. We could have lived with the internet problems but combined with the ants, the broken toilet (we have a young child), the managers attitude and the jacked up price it was too much!!
We went down the road to another inn and had a lovely stay. We paid a bit more for the room but the owners were very nice and went out of their way to make sure we had an enjoyable visit. The rooms are older and not remodeled like the Express Inn. However, if you are looking for a place to stay in Princeton where the owners are VERY nice and CARE about their guests I recommend the other inn located right down the road. You will pay a few dollars more but the quality of your stay will be worth it.
