“Excellent hotel in great location”

We stayed for 3 nights in May 2006 and loved the hotel. It's not the cheapest hotel, but it was definitely worth the extra money. Location was superb - right on Wenceslas Square, just 2 minutes walk from the subway, and walkabe to most of the sights including Old Town Square (10-15 mins away). The staff were extremely friendly and helpful - they even spoke good English which we didn't expect. They went out of their way to help us, including giving us useful tourist info in English when we checked in. Breakfast was good with wide range of food and excellent teas. Our room was in the middle of the 3 blocks so had no view, but it was very quiet and clean. Shower was awesome! Hotel seems to cater more to business travellers, but we thought that was great as it meant it was nice and quiet, and we avoided the stag-do crowds.

“Great Location”

This is a great place to stay. In the middle of the old town, you can walk to all the important sites. Wonderful breakfast, after which you don't need lunch. I recommend it highly.

“Great location for the price”

The first impression of the hotel is lack luster, definitely not a fancy lobby, but the hotel makes up for it in the location and the size of the rooms. It is a short walk to the old town and major sites. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here on a return visit.

“Centrally located in the heart of Prague's action.”

The Ramada staff were overall very accomodating to guest needs. If there was a problem in the room (e.g.) mini bar not working they were prompt to repair or replace it. The restaurant staff for the complimentary breakfast were attentive to guest needs and really tried to make me feel at home. Although the room I had did not have a bath tub the shower was adequate and in the European design. Ramada is in great location near musuems, galleries, shopping, and symphony. In fact, its a small version of New York's Times Square.

“Very Impressed”

We have just come back from a 3 night stay at this hotel. When we first pulled up we were a little concerned but don't be put off by the entrance to the hotel, just because it doesn't have an opulent foyer does not mean anything. The hotel was very good. The rooms were compact but exceptionally clean and as they are only for sleeping in this is a minor issue. The location was fabulous we spent the weekend walking everywere as it was such a good base. The breakfast was adequate but was open for 4 hours so you need to get there handy to have a good choice. Our room was in the Carmen block and on the top floor and we had access to a shared roof terrace. Great views across the city from this. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.

“Very pleased with our stay”

Our hotel room was spacious, clean, and beautiful, and the breakfast buffet was excellent compared to others we have encountered on our European travels. We were surprised that amenities that are generally free in the US were not free at this hotel (for example, access to the gym and fitness center). The staff members were courteous and helpful, though I would not recommend exchanging money at the hotel desk: their rates turned out to be 3% lower than most currency exchange stations.

“Modern, Well-Appointed, Comfortable, and Centrally Located”

The Ramada Grand was a great choice for us for our first time in Prague. We wanted to see everything, and it is ideally located; we walked almost everywhere, and were only a few hundred feet from the subway when we wanted to ride the subway. Our rooms were very fairly spacious, by European standards, and were tastefully furnished in a coordinated scheme that had art deco influences. They were also in excellent condition -- everything seemed new. The staff was friendly and was very accommodating. We'd stay there again in a minute.
