“Great location!”

We were very happy with the Ramada in Prague. The staff were very helpful. It is a great central location, we walked everywhere. Breakfast was included which was a lovely surprise. I would definitely recommend this hotel

“Centrally located in the heart of Prague's action.”

The Ramada staff were overall very accomodating to guest needs. If there was a problem in the room (e.g.) mini bar not working they were prompt to repair or replace it. The restaurant staff for the complimentary breakfast were attentive to guest needs and really tried to make me feel at home. Although the room I had did not have a bath tub the shower was adequate and in the European design. Ramada is in great location near musuems, galleries, shopping, and symphony. In fact, its a small version of New York's Times Square.

Area recommendations

Old Town Praha and the George bridge area.

There are good restaurants nearby. Across from the hotel is an excellent Italian restaurant.

“Ideally located”

Hotel is ideally located in Wenceslas Square - easily walkable all over town, as we did and suffered for it...in a nice way! Hotel staff are pleasant, but can be a bit slow at attending. Rooms are pleasantly comfortable but can get a bit hot - windows do open - use them! Beware in bathroom - thermostat on the wall is for the shower's hot water - make sure you turn it on! Good value for money. Breakfast is ok - hot and cold food. Would recommend!

Area recommendations

Whole town is easy to reach by foot. You will miss out on some lovely cobbled streets with wonderful architecture if you take the bus or tram. The Old Town Square is the place to be for tourists - stalls selling hot wine, grog, barbequed sausages and pancakes make it all the more worthwhile. Make sure you visit Prague Castle - some lovely views of the town from up the hill!

“Wonderful Prague”

Wonderful hotel excellent breakfast with very helpful staff in large airy dining room. Hotel centrally situated on Wencaslas Square Would definately go back

“Great Location !!!”

Stayed at Ramada for a weekend break.. Excellant location, we walked everywhere.. Hotel was very nice, air-con in our friends room did not work so as temp was over 30 deg, was a bit hot !! ours was fine.. Would have been nice to have tea & coffee facilities in room. Starbucks over the road if you get desperate !!! Breakfast was fine, always something to eat..

Traveller's tip

Had some lovely meals, but if you eat in Old Town Square although menu's look reasonable they slap on lots of extra's !!! Stick to the back streets and meals are better & cheaper..

“Good Central Hotel”

Room was very nice, asked for one overlooking Wensceslas Square-we were on the 2nd floor but surprisingly very quiet. Staff were helpful and all can speak English. Breakfast was ok with a good selection of fruit/ham/cheeses etc and scrambled eggs every day. Would have been nice to have had a lounge to relax in. Beware - tea/coffee making facilities are not inclued in standard room rates, we were charged 10 euros for a small kettle/cups and they did not replenish the tea/coffe/cream after the first day even after requesting them at reception. All the attractions are a short walk away from the hotel with various shops and restuarants right on the doorstep.

Traveller's tip

There are masses of places to eat, look out for restuarants that are often off the street through open doors leading to a nice square, they are often a bit cheaper than the ones in the popular tourist areas. Restuarant staff are generally very pleasant, but shop assistants are something else!!!

“A perfect base for exploring Prague”

The Ramada is located in a great location and it is very easy to access all of the sights. Service was great, as were the rooms. Highly recommended for the price.

“Good location, sketchy service”

The hotel was pretty average overall. Good access to the metro and surrounded by places to eat. If I ever return, I'd probably get a hotel in the Old Town area which is far more interesting/charming. Pros: Proximity to metro stations was great. The hotel sits between 2 stations within a block. Breakfast buffet was included and good. Rooms were typical size/cleanliness. Cons: Service was marginal. Upon arrival, I had to wait for a good 10 mins while both staff members argued with someone on the phone. Hotel coffee was the worst I've ever had!

Get bills in smaller denominations - we had several problems breaking change of bills greater than 200 crowns.

“Empfehlung”

Das Hotel empfiehlt sich insbesondere für Bahnreisende, da es vom Hauptbahnhof, sofern man einen Rollkoffer hat, problemlos zu Fuß zu erreichen ist. Die Lage am Wenzelsplatz ist ohnehin exzellent, eine Metrostation (Mustek) liegt rund 150 m entfernt. Die Zimmer waren - wie das ganze Hotel - gut ausgestattet, sauber und vor allem ruhig. Mir fehlte lediglich ein kostenloser Internet-Zugang für Reisende ohne Laptop. Das Frühstücksbuffet - bei Expedia war das Zimmer "ohne Frühstück" ausgewiesen, aber das war vor Ort kein Thema - war reichhaltig. Insgesamt bin ich somit sehr zufrieden, auch und gerade mit dem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Ich kann das Hotel durchaus weiterempfehlen.
