Comfy enough, appliances need updating
The communal areas of Hotel PurPur are nice and modern. The lobby was spacious and the staff friendly. The room I was in (probably one of the cheaper) was spacious enough with room for luggage and a comfy bed. The windows opened wide for air. What let the room down were the appliances. The TV was older than I'm sure some of the guests were (possibly) and the fridge was possibly the noisiest fridge I have ever known. If I had not been a reserved Brit, stiff upper lip and all, I would have complained. Hotel PurPur need to sort that fridge out. The hotel is a little bit of a walk from transport but it's on a pleasant area. I would book the hotel again but would make sure I didn't get that fridge.

Great Deal
The property is well located and we'll maintained. The free coffee and "snacks" they offer every morning (no hot food , so they say it's not a full breakfast) was more than enough for me to start my day. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Not the hotel’s fault but there is massive building works going on opposite the hotel which is vey noisy and dusty. Otherwise the hotel is great and well located. Staff very friendly and helpful

Property is in very poor condition. Kitchenette is horrible. Curtains does not cover the windows, shower head unit leaks cold water when u use the handset. But what the worst of all was the staff. Horrible absolutely horrible customer service. Very very poor communication skills. Location of the property is good. But rest simply terrible. I won’t stay there ever again.

The staff was professional and helpful. The room is large with a kitchenet and a small refrigerator. It was comfortable. The location is close to all the site and easy access to transportation. There are plenty of great restaurants around. It is way from the tourist area.

Good over all for the price. Friendly staff. Old room furniture from Ikea and the bright pink isn't so great. I don't know who chose these colours! Plus the big cash deposit you have to leave at reception is an unpleasant surprise. For me, the price, location and the staff are the best things about this place.

Dear Guest, we take 1.000- 2.000 CZK for the deposit which is 40- 80 EUR, not 100. We haven´t received any complaints about hot water on the reception. Breakfast is really good for the 3* hotel, so you cannot expect a 5* breakfast for the price 20 EUR/ night for double room.Thank you for your feedback and have a nice day. Best regards

Not as expected
The pictures in the website look much better than in real. The hotel can’t be found via any GPS under Hotel PurPurn but only under Aparthotel Purpur. The room although small was fine from the size but the bathroom was not in a good condition. When you turned on the water in the shower you had a strange smell coming out that was not pleasant. I checked out right after I returned to the hotel from walking around the neighborhood. I don’t recommend this hotel. At least not for that price.

Good hotel
I enjoyed my time here at this hotel. The bed was comfortable and room was too. The bathroom was very clean. Hotel breakfast was a little small but many other guests were there eating all the food before I was able to. The staff is very friendly and can speak English, even the maids. Good location, just a minute walk from one of the main streets.

It grows on you. I was a bit concerned upon arrival - the hotel is on what appears to be a lonely backstreet. The initial impression of the entrance and lobby is sketchy. But I quickly began to appreciate this little hotel. The location is great - an easy walk to the historic section of Prague and a very short walk to access the trams and subway. The personnel were very helpful. The area is safe. The rooms are very basic but comfortable (you won't spend much time in the room, anyway, with all that Prague has to offer). The breakfast was good with a full range of offerings. There is a laundry service that is reasonably priced. The price is right. I would stay there again without hesitation. Internet was decent.

Great budget hotel
New front desk agent. Insisting we gave cash for our room deposit instead using our credit card which made us with 1000 Check crowns less cash for our stay. Rooms are nice big and clean however no Air we can rent a small desk fan for 50kc a day of the staff is willing to get it for you. 3 nights we were able to get one on our last night again. That new lady was not helpful at all , we booked with Expedia and again for some reason she said our room was not paid for. Had to pay our room on credit card came home to double charges but Expedia and hotel agent Martin were both very quick to answer and refunded asap. Overall this hotel is ok. Free breakfast I didn't enjoy but my husband loved it. Location is great. We would probably stay here again as long price is the same or cheaper.

This hotel is not more than 2-3 stars hotel, the breakfast is poor, the window shades do not close all the way, the shower head leaks, the beds and pillows are too soft for my test and so on, the staff are wonderful and helpful, if you on a budget and willing to give up some comfort, this is good hotel situated very close to the old town Prague.

Very nice hotel and close to the old town square
Me and my 3 mates have just got back from prague yesterday, and we are already looking into going again we loved it! Hotel was very clean, beds was very comfy and got changed daily, the staff was very friendly and spoke very good English so was easy for us to communicate! Definitely would stay in this hotel again.

Interesting hotel
Room was clean but the layout was strange. There was a staging area although I'm not sure what it was meant to be staging. On said stage there was a curtain when drawn back you could see into the shower a bit kinky but hey, each to their own. I did overhear an argument between another couple and a member of staff who complained that their shower didn't work and there was a hole in the floor. The hotel then tried to charge them for a can of Coke from the mini bar after apologising that they hadn't tried to sort out the problem with the room. Their reasoning that the problem had not been resolved was because they had forgotten who they were and asked why they hadn't come back to complain. When the guests left the receptionist then shouted at them as it was their fault! It was entertaining to watch but in an uncomfortable way. Breakfast buffet was good with a good selection of bread, cereals, meats and cheeses. The addition of Brussel Sprouts to the table was unexpected and not warranted. All in all an interesting stay.

Confusing to say the least.....
Nice, clean helpful staff....the hallway and lack of stairwell lighting was shadey.... shame Expedia didn't tag this hotel as"lovely hotel in the midst of a seedy part of town" 2 pretty confident and nonbeginner travelling women and we were a little uncomfortable with the area....not to mention the shower ( glass, with a view to the bed covered by a curtain outside) feels like a pervy peep show is about to begin...not many reasons we could think of for s shower like that.... that being said.....the hotel itself is well maintained and staff was super helpful. Wouldn't say no would just have been nice to know a little more info about the area ( we were pressed for time to thouroughly research so we take part responsibility on that) great hotel location if you are exploring Prague's red light district or brothels ;)

A friend and I stayed here one night. We were supposed to have 2 single beds, but ended up with a nice size queen so no big deal. For the price of the hotel, our expectations weren't very high. We were truly surprised. The room was very clean and pretty spacious. Even had a little kitchenette. There's no air condition but thankfully there was a balcony and while in the room, we propped the door open and it kept us cool. The breakfast was nice, an assortment of breads, meats, cheeses, cereals, juices, etc. The location was also very convenient, close to metro stations and bus stops. For the most part we walked to our destinations.

no air conditioning, room service was realy bad, the cleaning lady didn't fill any soap shampoo or PT until i ran out and had to go ask for more at the recaption. food was ok but not great. WiFi works only in the lobby and even there the signal is not grerat. location is good though, 15 min walt from everything but if you want to enjoy from any luxuries from the hotel purpur is not the hotel for you.
