“Excellent position and service”
The hotel was very conveniently siutated for all the main tourist areas of Prague. The service was excellent, including a concierge service to help us book concerts, trips, etc..
“Culture trip to Prague”
Good flight with Easy jet from Stanstead, purchased one journey public transport ticket at airport, caught 119 bus to metro went 3 stops and walked to hotel. Arrived at hotel 11 am had arranged to drop luggage but were told room was ready, so able to add extra fleece as temp minus 10. Then had rest of day to see sights, caution here as many did not open on Mondays. Although cold in February sights were not crowded, in fact on a 7 hour guided walking hour tour we had a guide to four of us. If fit walking was best way to see sites as most easy to reach from our hotel but wear good footwear as most streets cobbled. Found 4 days about right to see main sights so all in all great short break.
“Beautiful City of Prague”
Excellent hotel, the room was clean and of a good size with excellent view of the river and castle. Good breakfast both hot and cold and plenty of it. Hotel staff very helpful and professional. Plenty of places nearby to eat out at night, and reasonably priced as you are outside off the main tourist areas, the price of eating out goes up the closer you get to the main tourist attractions. A pint of beer is cheaper than a coffee. Castle about 30 minutes walk, Wenceslas Square about 20 minutes walk, old town square 15 minutes walk, probably less if you are a quick walker. Easy to get around using bus, tram and metro. Plenty of police presence in the tourist areas making it feel safe, very clean people out picking up litter all the time. All I can say is that my partner and I had a smashing time and will visit again. A beautiful city
“AVOID THIS HOTEL”
There is absolutely no excuse for mold in a bathroom, no excuse for smelly, dated bedding, no excuse for such dingy decor. Be careful, and do your homework before you book!!
“Excellent value in a good location”
This was our second stay at the Hotel President and was even better than the first. We had a very spacious room overlooking the floodlit church at the rear of the hotel (our previous room overlooked the river but the room was smaller). The bathroom was also a very good size containing a seperate bath and shower. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of hot and cold food including fresh fruit. We found the staff to be helpful and efficient at all times. The hotel is very well situated being away from the immediate hustle and bustle yet only five minutes walk from the Old Town Square. The area behind the hotel contains a number of inexpensive bars and restaurants (prices escalate as you enter the Old Town Square). We would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to our next visit.
“Nice place in the prime area.”
Our staing was quite good. Nice, clean, reception people were friendly, helped with all the requests or questions. Rooms were very clean, beds comfortable, refregerator was filled, save was working, a/c was working except for the first day as they had some technical issues in the entire hotel. But it was resolved the next day. We had a junior suite with a view to the Vltava River. Nice. We did not use the Hotel's Resaurant, but breakfast was excellent. Location is perfect, 5 minutes waking to the Old Town Square. Try a nice Restaurant Kolkovna five minutes from the Hotel. Very poplular and inexpencive. If in Prague again, we would stay there again. We stayed in August and the price was quite good. We would recomend this Hotel.
“Excellent location and superb service!”
Staff was very helpful and made us feel right at home. We stayed 1 week and were fortunate to have a river view. Breakfast was plentiful. The hotel is just around the corner from must see sites. 5 minutes walk takes you to the Old Town Center. Great restaurants nearby. Would return anytime! Thanks to Brigita (the concierge) and to all the President Hotel staff.
“A Second Visit”
We live in Poland and Prague only a short drive away so we bring our visitors. Our second visit we decided to try a different hotel although we had previosly been to the President. However, it didn't compare and from now on we will stay at the President with our guests. It is very smart but comfortable and the staff professional but friendly. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and we had an evening meal in the restaurant which was superb. ( The staff at the evening meal were slightly distracted but there was a World Cup match on but having said that we were not kept waiting!!) We cann't wait for our next visit.
“Iwould be delighted to return”
spent 4 lovely days at the President Hotel, Prague- modern lovely place, helpful and polite personel, wonderful location in the old city, easy access to public transportation, shopping and restaurants. Expedia enabled me to make this stay at a very reasonable rate
“Absolutely a place I would stay in again and recommend!”
The location is fantastic. You are two minutes away from the old town and most attractions. The hotel itself is very nice. The staff was very friendly and took care of everything for us. They allowed us an early check-in, arranged for dinner reservations (outside the Hotel) for us, arranged for transportation and everything with a smile. The food in the Hotel Restaurant was fantastic. The service at the bar/lounge was great... We had a wonderful time!

Josefov , Prague, Czech Republic: Pragues Jewish quarter witnessed oppression and suffering for centuries before the Nazis invaded during the Second World War. The tightly packed, insanitary buildings of the ghetto were mostly destroyed in the 1890s, but the Old Jewish Cemetery and several atmospheric synagogues survived.
