Beautifully restored Art Nouveau masterpiece

Pros: Style!
Cons: It is already perfect
Location: You can do everything nearby
We had a wonderful visit to Prague. K & K Central is a fabulous building in an ideal location for, and relief from, the tourist overdrive of this great city. It is an elegant, comfortable, and welcoming hotel. Turns an exciting trip into something very special.

Deeply disappointed in recommended hotel

Posted 01-Oct-2014
Pros: Not much. Location was quite convenient. Second of two rooms I stayed in was reasonably comfortable.
Cons: Attitude of staff on reception would be a first choice. At least some of the rooms are dreadful and do not deserve the 4 star rating.
Location: Walking distance to main square of Old Town and main train station. Underground station and airport shuttle bus very close.
Not sure why this hotel has been so highly rated by others. Most staff were grumpy and unhelpful. The room I was put in first was the pits, and certainly not remotely 4 star - have stayed in nicer rooms in 2 star hotels. It was minute, dark, cramped, musty, and overlooked an internal space where only the opposite blank wall was visible; couldn't even see the sky. So small that once I put my suitcase on the stool, I couldn't get between it and the bed to the bathroom. On day 2, my inroom safe ceased to work. Someone came to look and couldn't fix it. I was told someone else would come to fix it, but when I got back in the evening, there was no record of what had happened, and reception staff were very brusque about it. Eventually I was told it could not be fixed. After insisting that I wanted a room with a safe and wasn't prepared to take my valuables constantly to and from the hotel safe at reception, I was given a much nicer room which was larger and lighter and had some outlook, and a working safe. Bathroom was still extremely small however and even this better room was more like a good 3 star hotel. I was offered help in moving but after ringing to say that I was ready, I waited 20 mins and gave up and moved myself. The breakfast buffet room is spectacular to look at but the buffet itself is very ordinary with the fruit in particular looking as if it had been left out for days. The hotel is used regularly by large tour groups, so breakfast is a like a football scrum.

i think these are great hotels

Pros: my room the physical hotels the staff the breakfasts it was clean
Cons: in prague, the staff at the lobby gave me incorrect directions to a tourist site, and I think that they should know the locations .
Location: the location was great, and their was a lot to do near by
I stayed in 2 K&K hotels- in Prague, and in Budapest. They are in great central locations, modern and very clean, and the breakfasts had more than everything. the staff at both hotels were very nice. I would stay in one of their hotels in a minute.

Great hotel in a fantastic location!

Posted 25-Sep-2014
Pros: Excellent location, friendly staff, décor, Wi-Fi
Cons: Not sure I could name anything
Location: Walking distance from metro station and all major attractions of the Old Town
The hotel is very conveniently located within the walking distance from the historic Old Town and all major attractions, and only few hundred meters away from the Airport Express stop and railway station. Reception was helpful and the whole check-in process only took minutes. Room – of the adequate size, clean, nicely presented and full of character. Bathroom on a small side, but again – very clean and well lit. Breakfast buffet served in a stunning room, busy at times, but plenty of top up coffee served by smiley staff, which is always good to see first thing in the morning. Excellent experience overall and utterly charmed by the hotel and staff.
