“Jalta Hotel”

The Jalta is a good hotel on Wenceslas Square. The room was a decent size & very clean. The receptionist at check in was very friendly, helpful & spoke good English. All staff were courteous & professional at all times & made the effort to greet you when they saw you. The breakfasts are good with enough choice & variety to suit everyone. I didn't eat any other meals in the hotel but the hotel has a list of suggested restaurants, I ate at one of their reccomended choices, The Blue Duck II,about 15 mins away from the hotel & it was superb. The square itself is very impressive with the National Museum & statue of Wenceslas at the top & an array of shops, bars & restaurants down each side. The old town square is a pleasant 15 - 20 min amble away. Prague is best seen on foot but the underground is about 20m away from the hotel & is useful for getting around when your feet are too tired to walk very far.

“Prague & the Hotel Jalta”

From the reception we received, complete with a glass of champagne, everything that was asked for was made available. The staff, and particularly the restaurant staff were there for all our needs. The hotel is centered within easy walking distance of all that Prague has to offer the visitor. The only disappointment, was that we decided to finish our stay in Prague, with a visit around the Jewish quarter, which was closed for a weekend holiday - perhaps we will get to see more of this if we return. Unlike many cities, Prague is a large city, but with a very centralised centre, where all the main attractions are. All in all, our 3 night stay was excellent, and for those who have never visited Prague, I can recommend all that it (and the hotel Jalta) have to offer.

This Hotel was absolutely superb. It was in the right place and within easy reach of the Town Square, tne Jewish Quarter, Charles Bridge and all the other sights that you could wish to see. The rooms were nicely decorated and very comfortable. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

I can't thank Expedia enough. I could not have been more satisfied. The hotel was a terrific choice . . . clean, comfortable, right in the middle of it all. The attached restaurant HOT was fabulous.

“In love with Prague”

Did not have extra bed set up as requested, but not a big problem. Small room as expected. Great location, close to underground and supermarket. Lovely restaurant. L'Occitane shampoo and soap - can't get better than that!

“Very happy, Immaculate, clean, hotel.”

My wife & I stayed at the Jalta for her birthday in late July 08 for 3 nights after a recommendation. After booking & reading reviews (about the area, not the hotel) we were quite worried that we may have chosen the wrong part of town. Not at all! Wenceslas Square is a lovely place, don't believe the guide books telling you it's 'seedy' or 'dirty with litter'. It's a lovely area, bright & buzzing, with lots of shops & restaurants. The hotel Jalta itself was faultless from the moment we arrived, the reception staff were very profesional. The lobby was tastefully decorated. Our room was immaculately clean. Towels & bed sheets changed every day. The prices of the mini bar were clearly marked, albeit expensive compared to a pub but about the same as any other mini bar I've seen. The balcony gave us a wonderful view of the square. The buffet breakfast was very nice, choice of cold meats, cheeses, eggs, bacon, sausages, cereal, fruit juices, cakes? Yes cakes for breakfast! Not for me but there we are. Served in the 'Hot' restaurant belonging to the hotel. This restaurant is beautifuly decorated, very light & airy. A real classy looking place at night it is too, with live piano music the night we ate there. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. We will stay there again when next in Prague.

Staff very friendly and efficient, restaurant first class with good menu and high quality service. Reception staff competant in many languages, very polite, neat and tidy . Would advise all friends and business associates to use the hotel when visiting Prague.

Hotel rooms are good size and have ac. The pillows and the bed are incredible! You also get breakfast included in your room rate(hot&cold buffet). You can walk around wencelas square(square hotel is on) for food & shopping & casinos. From the square it is a short walk to all the sites. Get a map from the conceirge. Great stay and a great city!! Enjoy!
