Quaint Hotel in Quiet Location
I booked what was advertised on the hotels.com site as a 2BR since I was traveling with my 2 adult sons. I assumed this meant 2 separate bedrooms with plenty of actual beds for 3 adults. It was not what I booked. It was a 1 BR suite. In the 1bedroom was a king bed that could be made into 2 singles, but the only other sleeping opportunity was a pullout sofa in a common area that I had to sleep on which was quite uncomfortable. When I looked at the actual hotel website it didn't even solicit a 2BR so I believe this advertising error should be on hotels.com On the positive the hotel location was in a nice quiet residential area. Was a little hard to find, but was in a secure gated area with free, safe parking. The closest metro stop was about a half mile walk away and was just 3 stops to get to the Charles Bridge area. There are some eating places you can walk to also just about a half mile away. The hot buffet breakfast the hotel had was also very good as well as the various coffee selections.. Wi-Fi also worked very well in the rooms. I also very much enjoyed the outside terrace our room had.

Hidden away but close by
The name says it all. In a quiet part of Prague, close to the place I needed to be, it sits on a large peaceful lot in a residential neighbourhood. It is only a short six minute walk to major tram lines and less than 20 minutes from the airport. I have stayed in the Czech many, many times and this is an absolutely lovely place with friendly staff, comfortable and bright rooms, and a delicious buffet breakfast.

Not what was advertised and paid for. They loved to tack on extra charges. Customer is definitely secondary - they were clear in their expression that they could survive without a difficult customer, while charging said customer for services that were included in booking.

Dear sir, I would like to recapitulate the situation which led to this bad review from your side. The facts are you: 1. made a reservation for 1x apartment with 1 double bed 2. arrived in a company of 4 people 3. refused to pay for 2 extra beds so we offered a refund and move to another hotel despite the fact you had a non-refundable reservation 4. refused refund and already used the room and all the facilities 5. did not pay for extra breakfast and city tax Overall, we are sorry you did not meet your expectations, however we are not a low-cost hotel to accomodate group of people in a 1 bedroom apartment. Nice but odd stay
We’re on a driving trip & enjoy staying outside of city centers & this property is definitely outside of Prague City. I think it would be difficult to stay in this property without access to a vehicle. The hotel is nice but this summer is hot in Europe so we entered our room hoping it would be cool. Unfortunately it was not and despite the fact that we closed the curtains and left for several hours after turning the A/C on full blast, it was still too far warm in the room when we returned. We were very patient and finally asked the front desk to for a fan. At that time the receptionist told us she could turn down the temperature available to our room by about 10°C. This was aggravating since it was a record heat wave in Europe and they were intentionally controlling our ability to be comfortable in our room. We suffered for hours because they had chosen to treat their customers like children incapable of deciding what temperature they like in their living environment. Terrible customer service choice. The room was clean, comfortable & small. The bed was the only place to sit with the exception of a desk chair the size of a child’s chair. The view from our room was lovely once we were finally able to open the curtains after the A/C started cooling. The bed was fine. The breakfast was good, service was ok but the environment was odd in that a room filled of people eating was entirely quiet. We giggled and decided it’s because the name of the place is Hotel Silenzio!

Dear guest, thank you for your valuable feedback. I am really sorry to hear, your stay was satisfy. The AC system is centralized . The guest has just few options - turn on/off and regulate 1 - 4 degree. During the day you turn the AC off - as you mentioned, outside was 37 degree in the shadow - so, in your room was the temperature near to 30 degree. This take a time to cool the room again to your required 19-20 degree. The rooms are standard equiped - standard bed and chair size. The hotel name Silenzio is exactly because you are in the quiet , green place. Our guest prefer the smooth music by breakfast time - and also quiet atmosphere , special care and family friendly attitude during the stay. I am truly sorry and I sincerely hope your next visit in our hotel will give you better experience.

Excellent hotel in a quiet neighborhood
Super nice suite with a bathtub, living room and patio located in the quiet neighborhood with lots of trees all around. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a short walk to public transport which was okay with us, but might be a hindrance to people who have trouble walking.

Wonderful hotel. Very clean, friendly staff, nicely decorated, excellent breakfast. Quiet neighbourhood which is a little tricky to find, although Google maps really helped. Walking distance to very affordable public transportation. Bit of a short hill climb up to the hotel, but then all of Prague has hills.

Long walk up a hill...
Hotel is located in a nice area away from Prague. About a three block walk downhill to public transit stop. Good restaurant about a kilometer away (use tram) and then lots of alternatives to get to Prague center and all the good stuff. Czech people were a little touchy about not saying "Hello" before questions for directions but then were helpful ! Lots of interesting stuff in Prague to see, do and enjoy ! But, at end of day, the three block downhill walk becomes the "I am tired but 3 blocks uphill to go !"

Honestly, I was more or less only sleeping at the hotel, as away with work from 9 in the morning to 3 in the night all days. But my impression of the hotel was very good. Above average breakfast, very nice clean quiet room. Super friendly staff. Real value for money - looking at the price I paid it can only be a 5-star rating. Would book again.

Nice quiet hotel in a non-touristy neighborhood!
If you don't mind being a tram ride away from the major tourist areas of Prague (the Old City across the river, and the Castle area), this is a nice place, It's not in a tourist neighborhood (it's a hilly high-end residential and embassy neighbor hood). It's five minutes walk to a tram line, 10 minutes to the subway, and about a half hour walk to the marvelous castle/palace with its gardens etc. (you have to like to walk cities). It is in a tucked-away neighborhood, but even when it's dark it feels super-safe. It's a medium size hotel and there is no smoking in any of the inside area (which is a rare thing for Europe). The hotel is very clean and the staff helpful and friendly, very comfortable in English (like all hotels here probably). It's about a 400 kroner taxi ride from the airport ($20), but you have to be comfortable taking public transportation, or taking cabs all the time, or walking.

Modern and quiet hotel
Hotel mostly caters for business people, but is good for tourists who don't mind staying away from the city centre. It takes about 15 mins walk to the green metro which provides frequent quick low cost transport to the centre. Local dining options are limited, but the Chinese restaurant is good.

Clean hotel but not so good location.
We stayed here for three nights as a family with young children. The family room was clean and spacious. Breakfast in the morning was OK but really not suitable for a 4 star hotel. The staff were OK not so friendly and not so bad. The positive thing was the free parking which is hard to find in Prague. The main drawback for this hotel is the location, really not so easy to find even with a GPS. If you intend to walk and take the public transport, this is not the perfect choice for you as the hotel in located on a hill and the road is really steep. Reaching the nearest station takes about 10 to 15 minutes walking which was not convenient for the little kids.

Value for Money
The high gate entrance to the hotel is intimidating and the unlit and rather drab driveway a real put off but the hotel itself is very comfortable and the staff accommodating, polite and speak good english. The breakfast is good and the room a reasonable size. The hotel is in a residential area which is very quiet but a good 10-15 minutes walk to shops or restaurants.

The hotel is in a quiet suburb and is guarded by iron gates. It was quite a long walk with suitcases to the reception around an ancient and peeling facade with little lighting. However once I found the hotel, it was very comfortable with helpful reception staff. It was very quiet and provided a good breakfast. Once we found our bearings and the underground, we were able to explore Prague.
