Lovely hotel and great staff

Posted 02-Nov-2014
Hotel is wonderful and has a great view of Prague although it is up a hill. It is right beside Prague castle and only a short walk from Charles bridge. Staff were very helpful and dealt with any questions we had.

Charming and cozy hotel.

Comfortable and clean. Nice location. Located in Mala Strana which is a charming old section of the town. Takes about 15mins walk to Charles bridge. About 20mins walk to the clock.

Nice hotel close to the castle.

Posted 26-Oct-2014
Pleasing exterior appearance within 5 mins walk of the Castle. Easy walk downhill to Charles iv bridge and town square although walking back is uphill. Hotel has bar/restaurant and there are other bars ect nearby. Hotel probably would appeal more to older people than to teenagers....quietish nightlife to be found downtown.

I booked this hotel as a last minute city break with my girlfriend. We were very happy with the room we got, the staff were very helpful and the breakfast was good.

Golden star Prague

Posted 15-Oct-2014
Pros: The area, size, comfort & staff
Cons: Can't think of anything
Location: Historic area close to castle
Nice small hotel in historic area of Prague, great for a romantic break away, not an area for stag parties so perfect if you want to enjoy the history of the city rather than shops or nightclubs. The staff were very helpful, good breakfast, was surprised to be offered bacon & scrambled egg. Room was clean & very comfortable. Would go back

Great views - excellent location.

Posted 14-Oct-2014
Fantastic stay here at the Golden Star. Lovely large room, excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast buffet has a great mix of hot and cold items on offer and plenty of them. The bathroom had a shower in the bath which I thought might be annoying but the power of water made filling bath a 2 minute job and the bath was big. The only little thing was that no air con in room. Even in October it would have been handy. Very close to the Castle and not far from anywhere. Relatively steep walk up to hotel but fantastic way yo work off dinner!

EXCELLENT HOTEL IN A GREAT POSITION IN PRAGUE!

Posted 30-Sep-2014
Pros: The location and the friendly feel of the place, plus the spacious rooms and tasteful d├ęcor! Very comfortable beds with blackout curtains in room!
Cons: More breakfast teabags in room, we only had the fruity teabags left in the mornings!
Location: The location was at the top of quite a steep hill! All attractions are only minutes walk away! and taxis are always easy to hire!
This is a beautiful hotel in a great position only minutes from the major attractions! Spotlessly clean! with fresh towels everyday! Very friendly and helpful staff on reception! Magnificent views of Prague from our bedroom window! The breakfast was great, with lots to choose from with great restaurant staff! Will be coming again to stay as we could not fault the whole experience!

Pros: The atmosphere, friendliness of the staff position of the hotel overlooking the old town.

Location: It was immediately below Prague Castle.The.supporting tower of Charles Bridge could be seen from bedroom window. Many souvenir shops nearby! River tr
The hotel was very welcoming and in a superb position overlooking the old town and just beneath Prague Castle. The rooms and whole hotel combined the best of tradition but also with modern fittings. Meals were excellent value and beautifully presented. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Picturesque hotel in a beautfiul area.

Posted 17-Sep-2014
Pros: The pictureque area and the quietness, the character of the building and the cheapness of the mini bar.
Cons: We suggested dressing gowns and some improvements on storage space as we had an overly large shoe rack but less drawers for clothes.
Location: There are a good selections of restaurants including a vegetarian one all within a 10 to 15 mins walk down the hill.
