“Galileo was a great hotel”
The Galileo was comfortable with pleasant staff. Very peaceful so could get a decent nights sleep without being disturbed Although a 20 minute walk to the centre there were plenty of trams if you wanted to rest your feet! A very good base from which to explore Prague.
“Brilliant Hotel”
I loved this hotel, it was brilliant. It wasn't too far from the metro, the rooms were spacious and very clean. The hotel staff were fab, if you needed anything they were really willing to help. Also there was a complementary shuttle from the airport to the hotel, so no getting lost when you got there and also this saved money as well.
“Hotel Galileo”
Good hotel, staff friendly. Nice quiet area, just a short 10 minute walk from Wencelas Square. Only criticism - complimentary tea and coffee in reality is one teabag each on first day........after then you are expected to buy your own. Breakfast was OK, same each day, fruit sliced so quite limited!
“Good, but location not the best”
Hotel good, breakfast good, location a bit far away from main attractions to keep walking into town. Advertised free shuttle bus from Airport was not at Exit E, Terminal 2 at right time, we waited nearly an hour & no sign. Ended up getting ripped off for a cab ride. When we asked at Hotel Reception they called the shuttle bus driver & he claimed he was there at the right time. Recommend you have Hotel phone number with you on arrival to Airport & call Hotel 5 mins before shuttle bus is due if it isn't there by then...
“Can't wait to go back”
This hotel was great. It's not located in the main tourist areas but it's also not far away from the train station (Namesti Miru) which connects you to all of the main tourist areas and the airport. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful and they all spoke English. There's breakfast in the morning. The rooms were nice and were more than I expected for the amount of money I paid. There was internet service in the main hotel lobby. There's even a bunch of restaurants located in the area which are much cheaper than the kind of restaurants that you will encounter in the main tourist areas. Overall, my hotel experience was very excellent and I would recommend it to anyone else.
“Galileo magnified holiday experience”
Greeted very well on arrival we were very early due to flight timings but was offered chance to leave baggage and return when ready. helpful and friendly advice about transport local bars/restaurants was offered. In the evening the weather was looking icy and advice was given regarding the risk of the paths becoming dangerously slippery to walk on. Local Bar was excellent with Good value but extremely good home cooked food. Hlucna Samota on Zahrebska 14. go there. Good Breakfast too. Would go back again to this Hotel ,a bit out of the way but that suited us as we could avoid the night time rush of Sag parties if there were any! in saying that 4 mins walk to the metro or tram on the adjacent road 30 seconds walk.
“Not impressed”
Overrated. Easily falls into 2.5 star category. The staff is very nice and friendly. Breakfast is good.
“Friendly hotel”
Great hotel, clean comfortable and was upgraded upon arrival, with no extra charge so amazing room with small kitchenette. Buffet breakfast was ok but it was included so couldnt complainUnbeleivable power shower and great location although there is about 20 min walk to all the main attractions, but we walked everywhere as the city is so beautiful.
“pleased in prague”
prague must possibly be one of the best cites i have visted. buildings are amazing, streets clean, felt safe even at night. the atmosphere is very friendly and the sites, street music, varied shops from department stores to alleyway galleries is amazing. food and drink a plenty, high standard and not expesive. well done prague........would certainly go back.
“Great Hotel”
Staff were very friendly and helpful in providing directions, information and helping with tour and taxi arrangements. Rooms were small, but typical of Europe, and I don't spend vacation time staying in my room anyway. Located near a Metro Station and Tram Station, easy to get anywhere. U Webru across the street is a great pub for getting a late night brew.
