I do exhaustive research before a trip, and so I was well prepared from reading reviews of other travelers. The hotel is small, and yes, the carpet is a bit worn, but it is clean, the rooms are large, and the location can't be beat. We were there during the Christmas season, so walking out the front door immediately onto the square and into the christmas market was a big bonus. (As was being able to return to use the bathroom, as everywhere in Prague charges for the facilities!) We also were pleased that the subway stop for old town was a short two block walk away, and we used the subway and trams extensively. The breakfast was just OK, but still was nice that it was offered. We had the front desk book a World War II tour; I was a bit skeptical because of the cost, but Margaret, the tour guide, was simply wonderful! The hotel is very simple, but the room was very spacious and clean. After all, we were there for only a few hours a day to sleep and shower!
Although we had a room facing the street instead of courtyard and despite the roadworks being undertaken it was very peaceful and only two minutes walk from the main road. We could walk to all the main attractions from the hotel. I would recommend the hotel to anyone. The facilities are great, breakfast plentiful and the staff only too eager to help. Looking round Prague I'm very glad we chose this hotel and would definitely stay there again should we return.
Very nice, warm and clean hotel. 6-minutes walk from the metro (with child), great helpful staff, good restaurants in the neighbourhood. The breakfast is very minimalistic - cereals, sausages, cheese, ham, juices, coffee et cetera. The staff is working 24/7 and it's very convinient. In addition, we left our luggage after check out for all the day and it helped us a lot.
We just came back from Prague last week, and thoroughly enjoyed our one-week stay at the hotel. Location couldn't be any better. It is walking distance to almost everything that we wanted to see. We took bus 100 and metro B to get to the hotel from the airport, which was quite easy and convenient, given that the metro station is only a few blocks away from the hotel. And, there are many nice restaurants, grocery stores, and pharmacies within a few blocks from the hotel, which makes life very convenient. Also, it gets so quiet at night that it is hard to believe that the hotel is located in the center of the city. We really enjoyed our stay there, and would highly recommend this hotel.
