Excellent location

Posted 06-Apr-2014
Pros: it's location and it was not a chain.
Cons: better lighting in the room perhaps?
Location: 2 minutes to the old town and all it had to offer. Excellent location.
The room was a reasonable size and came with a mini-bar, the bed was large and very comfortable, the bathroom was great, a heated towel-rail and a powerful shower, and nice complementary toiletries. When the fitted-in hair-dryer did not work safely, the receptionist immediately sent me one which I could use for our stay which was great. The breakfast was lovely, lots to chose, but the best think was the location of the hotel: 2 minute to the old town and the magical astronomic clock. The place was beautiful and we fell in love with the place. We would definitely recommend Prague and the Friday Hotel.

Prague revisited

Posted 04-Apr-2014
Pros: Everything. Excellent location, friendly helpful staff, beautiful comfortable room, nice mezzanine area where you could ralax.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Close to Wenseslas Square a very short walk from the old time and the astronomical clock. only about 10 -15 walks from Charles Bridge
Atfer visiting Prague about 8 years ago, we were keen to revisit and stay in a central hotel. Friday Hotel was really easy to find and really was a pleassant surprise. All of the staff were really welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much bother. We arrived early, but our room was ready. The room was amazing and really comfortable with a huge bed, fridge, table, desk and chair and a spacious bathroom. The bath was real surprise at it had a bulit in jacuzzi. The breakfast was varied and plentiful with plenty of choice - even for a vegetarian. Lots of fresh fruit, yoghurts, cheese, cold meats, pastries, rolls, hot dishes such as egg, bacon, sausages, potato cakes. The choice varied every day. Prague itself is a beautiful city with lots of history and very easy to get around. Prague zoo is a must and easily accessible on the bus. We had booked our aiport transfers though Prague Airport transfers. We were met on time and got a free Prague guidebook and a 50% discount on a walking tour. A real find was the Karel Zeman Museum by Charles Bridge. It's a film special effects museum and is great fun with plenty of props and animation and shows the secrets of methods used to create special effects. Well worth a visit! We had a wonderful time in Prague and wonderful stay in the hotel.

Great Location and very comfortable and clean hote

Posted 23-Mar-2014
Pros: Very convenient to shops and the old town. Situated on a pedestrian street so not a lot of passing traffic noise. Very helpful staff.
Cons: The size of the bath towels could be larger.
Location: Very convenient for the old town with the square and astronomical clock. A short walk to Wenceslas Square with many shops and bars.
Have just returned from a four night trip to this very conveniently placed hotel near the Old Town. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the buffet breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day. The bathroom was lovely with the most comfortable bath and gorgeous toiletries. The added convenience of free tea and coffee in the little breakfast lounge was a also a big plus.

4 Days in Prague

Posted 10-Mar-2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness and friendliness of staff.
Cons: can not think of anything important.
Location: See above. Ideal location for all major sights within easy walking distance. Also, Metro and Tram service is within easy reach.
The Friday Hotel is ideally located to explore all major sites of interest, and all are within easy walking distance. Trams and Metro are also available when needed. Breakfast is buffet style with both hot and cold options, catering with something for most tastes. Hot drinks are also available to help yourself round-the-clock. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants local to the hotel ranging from ethnic Czech to Italian, Indian and fast-food, McDonalds etc. Whether dodging the crowds on the Charles Bridge, waiting for the mobile characters to appear on the Astral Clock in the Old Town Square, while listening to the buskers or watching the numerous street performers, shopping around Wenceslas Square or in the designer shops on the way to the Old Jewish Quarter, there is a vibrancy in the air and always something to keep you interested. For a quieter interval take in one of the many local museums, or like me just relax with a half-litre of tasty Czech beer and watch the world go bye! All this within a few minutes walk of this excellent hotel, where the friendly staff are always willing to offer help and advice. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone considering a visit to Prague.

Excellent location

Posted 01-Mar-2014
Pros: Initial friendliness of receptionist and lovely looking room.
Cons: Tea and coffee in room instead of in breakfast room, daily room service, bath water was dirty looking to begin with but on third attempt ran clear.
Location: Situated in central location close to main shopping area and 5-10 minute walk to the old town square meant everywhere was accessible.
Apart from one housekeeping blip this was an excellent hotel central to the town square and shops and with friendly, helpful staff. Lovely room, good quality breakfast, not perfect but well worth it for location and value for money.

Short break.

Posted 19-Feb-2014
Pros: The Hotel wasn't too big. The rooms were a good size and were clean. The bed was comfortable too.
Cons: There could have been a bit more lighting in the room especially by the mirrors.
Location: The location of the Hotel was really good and not too far away from all the attractions and transport.
We had a lovely time in Prague and saw as many sights as we could in the time we had.

Great Little Hotel in central location

Posted 06-Feb-2014
Perfect city break hotel for Prague in my opinion. Less than 5 minutes walk to the Old Town square with all its restaurants, scenery and attractions. Also within 10 minutes of Charles bridge and about a 25 minute walk to the castle with plenty to take in en route! The reception staff were very helpful and the rooms were great and with a decent buffet for breakfast it all comes at a sensible price.

Great location- in between old town and new town. 10 minutes to the charles bridge. If you like walking all sites are within distance of 5 minutes to 45 minutes! Lovely front desk staff and an impressive breakfast is included each morning. I was there for an entire week and it was lovely!
