“Good location, cheap price but you have to put up with hot rooms and grumpy staff”
We were on our first visit to Prague. The hotel is in a great part of town, central but just outside the main tourist parts. Everything can be explored by foot or tram from here. The hotel is bigger than it looks on the website, the double rooms are much smaller than the pictures on the website indicate and the whole building was very over-heated. It was almost unbearably hot. Our first room looked over a busy road, while the double glazing works against noise we were not able to open the windows at night. We had to switch rooms because one of the twin beds was completely broken. However. we received no apology for a rather distrupted night, and a 'downgrade' to a smaller room (which we gladly accpeted as it was less noisy out to the back of the hotel). The staff were mostly pleasant, with some grumpy attitude from the catering people during breakfast time. The breakfast was good, but you'll better go for a decent coffee afterwards as well. Overall it was fine, just a little disappointing to have to deal with the broken bed and heating issue in the building. Wifi didn't work a lot of times but we had a reall good yrange of european newspaper to read in the lobby. It's OK to stay for a few nights if you get a good price. Enjoy.
“Would go back to this Hotel”
We were pleased to get in earlier than 2p.m. as we had an early flight. Having a safe in bedroom (and free) was excellent. Reception Staff were always very helpful in answering what you asked them. Buffet breakfast excellent, lots of choices. Having a computer to use internet was also free - one could book concerts etc.
“best deal in Prague”
Very accomodating staff, lovely building, and fantastic breakfast to start your day (on the house), this hotel's location (less than 10 minute walk to the Charles Bridge) is only one of it's great features.
“A pleasant stay, professional staff, clean room and a nice view”
The only inconvenience is the location as you have to take a bus to go to the centre or walk for approx. 10-15 minutes but I must say that both my daughter and I, were very pleased with the services, quality and standard of the hotel. Would recommend it!
“Decent price for a decent hotel..”
The hotel is located 3 minutes walking distance from the tram stop, which can take you to almost anywhere within Prague.. (4 lines pass through the stop) Although getting a hotel right by the old city hall would have been nicer, the location was fairly good.. The room size was satisfactory, although I could be biased since I was coming right after my stays in London and Paris, and you all know how big the rooms are over there.. Really, the only thing that I could have asked for more was that they didn't offer draught beer in the bar.. In Prague!! Other than that, I'm definitely willing to stay there again.
“Great Price, great place”
We enjoyed our stay at Best Western Kinsky Gardens. The rooms were nice sized, comfortable and clean. The complimentary breakfast buffet was good sized and had many choices. The efficient staff made sure there was always food and the tables were cleaned and cleared quickly. Since we are not a family of early risers, we loved that it was open until 11 am. The location was convenient; a short walk to Petrin Gardens, the castle complex and the lesser quarter, slightly longer to Old Town. We would recommend this hotel and when we return to Prague we will stay there again.
“Excellent value for the cost”
5 minutes walk from a shopping centre a big plus. Staff friendly and co-operative. Any problem (faulty safe) fixed immediately. Peaceful surroundings but not too far from centre of city and tourist landmarks.
“Great places although some problems with room service when overloaded - close to all toursim spots”
Quiet and well furnished - not modern at all but traditional and historic. Room comfortable hwever lifts very slow. Staff helpful but problems with meals and service once tourist bus arrived. Would stay there again.
“Smoking in public areas of hotel...”
I would not stay at this hotel again because smoking is allowed in the lobby, television room, and computer area. Just asking the desk clerk a question or using the computer proved hazardous to our health. Even though we were on a non-smoking floor, we could still smell cigarette smoke on our sheets and towels and when using the computer or talking to the desk clerk, the cigarette smoke was overwhelming. If you don't mind the excessive cigarette smoke in the hotel's public areas, then you would enjoy this hotel. Great service. Desk clerks were extremely helpful. The hotel's location is wonderful, near to trams, the Charles Bridge, restaurants. Great location. Extremely helpful staff. Our hotel in Budapest is a non-smoking hotel. Kinsky Gardens should do the same. A huge thank you to the wonderful staff at the Best Western Premier Kinsky Garden!!
“A very nice place to stay”
This is very comfortable place to stay: neat, good service, pretty furniture with high ceiling. Breakfast is nice. It’s located only 7 minutes walking distance from tram stop. The only problem is the surrounding streets are not very nice to walk.
