“Central location to all Prague highlights”
I am a local returning to my homeroots to share this beautiful city with a friend. What can I say? From the start the hotel has excelled itself. Clean, friendly and helpful staff, great location and breakfast is basic but enough to set you up for the day. We took note from other reviews and asked for the quieter rooms facing the courtyard however the staff accomodated in the 'attic room' which is out of this world!! The terrace is mesmorising with all the little quaint roof tops of Prague, we nerly broke into song from Mary Poppins, step in time by the chimney sweeps. Enjoy!
“Very good value”
Hotel was very good value for money. Room was clean and nicely furnished. Hotel location was also very good with breakfast buffet being of a good standard. Hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. I would stay here again.
“Simple yet comfortable hotel.”
Although Best Western Hotel Pav won't score high on the classy stakes it takes marks on everything else. The rooms if basic were very clean and comfortable and a decent size. An excellent spread was offered for breakfast, hot and cold buffet. The fact that it had small bar and lounge was irrelevant as within a minutes walk were ample bars, cafes and restaurants. The location of Hotel Pav is ideal for the city centre tourist attractions. Finally all the staff were polite friendly and helpful. I totally recommend Hotel Pav.
“Fantastic hotel”
Great location, friendly and helpful staff. The whole hotel was clean. I can not fault this place. I will stay at this hotel again.
“Wonder hotel in Prague!”
Just back from a 3 ight stay at Hotel Pav. The hotel is very clean and our triple room/ family room was huge (room 319). As I'm a light sleeper, I asked for a quiet room and this was easily accommated by Sonia, the Reservation Manager. Breakfast was good - plenty of choice and never had a problem finding a table - we went down for breakfast at different times 8.15 to 9.15am and there were always plenty of tables free. The hotel location is excellent - 5 mins walk to Narodni Trida metro and the shops (including Tesco's). Charles Bridge, Old Town and Wencelas Square are all within walking distance 10-20mins away. If we return to Prague we will definitely be staying here again.
“You get what you pay for”
It was no frills hotel, you get what you pay for. The main issues were soap containers in the bathroom didn't work (and they didn't supply soap) and hard beds. We ask for maintenance to be done on soap containers and lights. Managed the soap container after several requests but failed on getting the lights fixed. Breakfast was adequate but lacked variety. The position of the hotel was it's main advantage, unfortunately the rowdy drunks at 2 - 3 am didn't help. Certainly wouldn't stay there again.
“excellent location”
good hotel with helpful staff who speak english. room was lovely and spacious even had a balcony. only gripe (a personal one) is that fresh sheets werent put on the bed throughout my stay. Other than this the room was comfortable and good for the price. Hotel is within walking distance to the centre and metro station. Also locally there are some little pubs and bars on your way into town.
“Good hotel”
It is a good hotel, you can go walking to the center of the city (15 minutes). It is a subway sation near of the hotel ( 5 minutes walking). The service is good and the room too.
“V.Basic”
Our room on 4th floor , not convenient for older couple as my wife not like lifts. Poor room outlook to courtyard. Room furnishings v. minimal. Not give atmosphere of comfort, not welcoming. Other room options that we wre given were worse. Gray's Shuttle service drivers were appalling. Had to wait 40mins going for bus, Driver could not find our hotel, took well over 1 hour airport to hotel(should be 1/2 hour). Return driver was dangerous, was driving his BMW very fast while texting at the same time with one hand on the steering wheel. Would never use Gray's or this hotel again. Prague was absolutely delightful with wonderful concerts. Gray's rep in kiosk in City center was v. helpful in booking return transfer.
“Noisy Neighbourhood”
The hotel itself is absolutely fine. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the room was huge compared to many we have stayed in. The location of the hotel means you can easily walk to all the main sites. The one and only reason why I wouldn't recommend this hotel and why I wouldn't stay here again is that we had a room at the front, overlooking the street. This is directly next to the U Fleku beer hall and the noise when this turned out was unbelievable. We had no air conditioning in the room and it was very hot when we stayed in August so we wanted to leave the windows open, but after two sleepless nights we decided to just fry instead. If you had a room at the back or stayed in winter then maybe it wouldn't be such a problem.
