This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel and will continue to use it on further visits to Prague. Good hotel - very conveniently placed for all amenities.

“Very handy for the attractions of the Old Town”

Very happy with this hotel. Reception staff very friendly and helpful, room comfortable, clean and quiet. Only complaint was that the shower bracket was fixed too low on the wall to use shower without holding it manually.Breakfast room was a bit of a scrum but the food was plentiful. Would definitely go back, but might take sturdier shoes next time for all the walking!

Area recommendations
All of it - I have never experienced such an abundance of beautiful architeture. Try a bus/river/walking tour to get best bearings, but beware pickpokets in crowded places, my one really scary moment of the five days was when someone tried to steal from my bag! St Vitus Cathedral, the Castle, the Old Town with the Jewish quarter, St Wenceslas Square - all well worth visiting. Good walking shoes an essential. We will be back!

“Quick Stay in Prague”

Hotel was nice. Typical Best Western. Nice size rooms that were clean. Front Desk was helpful. Hotel sent a car to meet me at the airport. Huge breakfast with all different sorts of options, everything was fresh (at least when I went at 7:30am).

“Will return at some time in the future - very impressed”

overall would recommed the hotel if you like a central location for sights, eating and beauty. last day toaster was out of action - not a big deal as food is great (but i like my peices of toast and marmalade, my personal view only). The rest of the party were impressed with breakfast. Beware when eating in the resturant. Quality good, food excellent, service excellent (but a little 'pushy' though). do not be fooled with the 20% discount given when eating in the hotel as they will claw this back with gratuities and miscl othe items that you thought were 'courtsey' items. Should of seen this comming!!!! Apart from the above would recommend if you are taking a city break. Also would recommend booking a taxing in advance as we did which saved us money. Taxi was on time at the airport with a 'name 'card. and pick up was spot on for timing (always doubtful if the pick-up arrives).

Area recommendations
Prague is a beautiful city. Suggest purchasing a copy of Dorling Kindersley, Eyewitness Travel guide. Read in advance and take in certain pieces of information and 'beware' notices etc. To many places of interests to list. As the hotel was just a short walk from the centre we could plan in advance and on a day to day basis. Far too many places to list for eating and drinking. Suggest take care of pricing as certain restaurants can be pricy especially in the tourist 'squares'. Suggest do the top 10 spots from the book. In addition to this, the Observation tower and gardens is well worth a viewing - great if you like walking. If you like architecture you will love this city. Overall would recommend, but a degree of caution Prauge is no longer inexpensive and avoid the currency exchange shops

“good deal in prague”

the only negative about this hotel is the extra charge for parking our car - it was about half the price of the room. The room was very adequate and had air conditioning (definitely needed in July). The hotel had a very nice breakfast and was conveniently located. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Area recommendations
all of prague is beautiful. I would recommend getting up early and going to the Charles Bridge and then to the Palace. By noon both places were packed and hard to take a decent photo.

“Excellent location”

The hotel is in a very good location, right next to the Powder Tower and about 5-7 min walk to the astronimical clock. The Palladium mall is a couple minutes away and there 2 mini-marts and a grocery store nearby which is awesome because ou can buy drinks and snacks at good prices. The staff was very friendly answering all questions and even helping us book 2 day trips outside Prague. The hotel also offers a set price taxi service to and from the airport which is great. The buffet was fairly good, the toaster didn't quite work that well and the juices were a bit watered down but otherwise the food was good with a good variety of selections. I would defintely recommend the hotel and would come here again.

“Good Hotel”

Good hotel, but the price makes it great. The hotel itself is a little dated; my room had gold walls and orange/brown carpet, but the bathroom was VERY nice. Old Town Square is MAYBE a 5 minute walk. Hotel staff was great! They even helped me order a pizza at 4am when I was jet lagged and hungry. :)

“Couldn't have chosen better”

I can certainly recommend this hotel for independent travellers like myself. The hotel was in easy reach of all the central sites and I enjoyed walking around taking in the architecture.

Area recommendations
Stare Mesto (the Old Town) is very compact and has lots of eating and drinking establishments. No problems with traffic noise.
Must see
Vysehrad is well worth a half day visit. It is situated on a hill overlooking the river and has lots of history. The church is richly decorated in the Romantic style and has a burial ground for famous Czechs. There are also several cubist houses of note nearby. I took the no. 17 tram along the river from Charles bridge, walked up and over the hill (not too strenuous!) and took the metro back to the hotel.
