“Great Location”
Lovely place to stay, but the area gets very loud around 5 or 6 am because of the cleaning and trash removing trucks. The breakfast buffet was great. And Staff was very friendly.
“Excellent”
We had a lovely 3 nights at the Archibald in May 2011. The hotel was excellent. Our room (overlooking the river) was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were very good with plenty of choice. The location was superb, right on the river next to the Charles Bridge, but on a quiet road to the front which felt very safe when walking at night. Very central to main attractions and only a short walk from tube and tram stops. We could not have hoped for better and would certainly stay here again. Highly recommended.
“A lovely hotel on the doorstep of the Charles Bridge”
I didn't realise you could get a hotel right next to the Charles bridge. Staff were extremely helpful and curtious and couldn't do enough. Rooms very spacious and spotlessly clean. Rooms serviced daily. River view rooms give a view of the Charles bridge. Hotel restaurant is a restaurant adjacent to the hotel. Meals were excellent and the breakfast catered for all needs. The best bacon and eggs in Eastern Europe! I would have no hesitation is returning if I visited prague again.
“Great Hotel”
My wife and I recently spent 3 weeks in Europe and this was one of our favorite hotels. The room itself was very large, more like a suite. The room was clean and we had a view of the river and the Charles Bridge. They also served a complimentary breakfast every morning and offer free wifi. The hotel is located right next to the Charles Bridge and is only a short walk from Old Town.
“100% satisfied with this wonderful hotel”
Visited February 2011. This Hotel is in the heart of the old town of Prague right next to the Charles Bridge, it is very quiet with no traffic outside. The hotel itself is warm, full of character, very clean, the rooms are very comfortable and a good size. The shower is good, water hot. The free Wifi recently added was a great extra. Breakfast buffet is excellent with a good choice. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and spoke very good English, they were very willing to book theatre tickets/taxis etc. I can't praise enough and definitely recommend.
“We will stay here next time!”
We had a room overlooking the river which was very impressive. Every morning we were greeted with the sunrise coming through the windows we had left open. The room size and amenties were adequate and the bed was very comfortable, in addition everything was maintained in a very cleanly state. The breakfast was delicious with just about everything a person could want. The service of the front desk staff was beyond compare. The restaurant next door was so convenient and stayed open late so we could have a light meal or just a post-opera cocktail before retiring. The service here was also stellar. We would definitely stay here again!
“Top location”
This is a great hotel just metres from the foot of the Charles Bridge. I was impressed with the rooms too. A great stay in a beautiful stay. The only thing I would warn about is don't ask the hotel to book you a taxi as they call a friend to take you and they will try to rip you off. Get a licensed taxi with a meter!
“Exceptional service and location”
We booked this hotel based on the good reviews here are were not disappointed. We stayed for 3 nights as our honeymoon break and on arrival we were given room 24- a wonderful large attic room and given some complimentary wine (we had booked a standard room so this was a lovely surprise). The views were great as we were overlooking the Charles Bridge. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The staff were so welcoming and helpful- particularly Tomasz and Ondrej. The location is fantastic - it is on a lovely quiet street next to the Charles Bridge. We were able to walk everywhere and didn't need to use pubic transport. We ate in the restaurant one evening which was delicious and as hotel guests we were given a 10% discount. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel to family and friends and we hope to be returning soon.
“A Great Hotel”
An excellent hotel situated in a quiet square within sight of the Charles Bridge. Helpful, friendly staff and spoilt for choice for breakfast. The restaurant attached to the hotel was also excellent with Czech food and delicious honey cake on the menu. Hotel location ideal for exploring Prague's many sights.
“Excellent relaxing holiday in a charming, well located hotel!”
We arrived early for a 2 night weekend stay early May and they let us check in early. We had room #2 which offered a river view and was an excellent surprise. The free wifi worked well and the room was very spacious. The bed was two twin beds pushed together but they were comfortable and fit together nicely. The room definitely had a charm to it. There was a bit of rust on the outside of the shower, but was otherwise very clean and well taken care of. There was heavy music coming from outside on Saturday night and went on well into the early morning, but there was no noise the second night. The location is extremely good as it is just off of the Charles Bridge, but on a quiet street. Right outside the hotel are all the boats for the boat trips down the river (which i highly recommend). And it was easy to see either the old town or Prague castle with many excellent restaurants and pubs nearby. I am extremely glad i chose this hotel and would not stay anywhere else if I was to return to Prague. The hotel staff made sure everything we needed was at our fingertips and offered to book anything we would require. The breakfast each morning was excellent with different pastries, hams, cheese, eggs, and many other things, considering it is not a huge hotel. We were happy to retire to the hotel after spending the day walking everywhere, and most sights are within walking distance. I highly suggest the hotdogs in Wenceslas Square and the Grilled Pork knee at the restaurants nearby.
