“A delightful surprise.”

The hotel was brilliant and we have nothing to complain about but only to heartiliy recommend it. It is well situated only just above the town and easy to reach many of the best sights such as Prague Castle up the hill and Charles bridge, down the hill, all in only a few minutes. In case you think this might make it a noisy venue then forget it as it is in a narrow lane that is very quiet. Up the hill by the castle is also Petrin Hill which is a good wide space of green with great views of the city. The staff were attentive and very helpful;all of them and even where they did not speak English made every effort to understand what we wanted. The breakfast was an enormous buffet and freshly cooked. Eggs bacon, sausages as well as a continental breakfast menu. The room was spotless and cleaned every day. We had a Deluxe room with a patio. Prague was a very pleasant surprise with plenty to do and different foods to try. We are not night life people so it was the hotel for us after a long a day in the town.

Area recommendations
Lesser Twon as it was near and had everything anyone would need as well as being a quiet residential area.

“Perfect”

I booked through Expedia for my partners 40th. I have to say, we were both very impressed- the hotel itself is immaculate, very cosy, but with all the facilities you would want. we had a room in the basement which was so peaceful and quiet and very comfortable too. The location is near to the Castle, St Vitus Cathedral etc, although technically out of the main centre of Prague, and this is perfect if you want everything to be on your doorstep, but away from noise & stag nights- Charles bridge is walking distance, as is the metro and many, and the part of town Appia Residences is in is well placed for restaurants and old style streets & buildings. the staff couldn't have been friendlier nor more helpful, and the service is excellent. The breakfast buffet is delicious with lots of choice, and all served up in the attic, which is a sight worth seeing in itself. I can'r recommend this hotel enough & we have already decided to revisit Prague & stay at Appia when we do.

“Good choice from internet search”

Hotel room is very big and clean. Surrounding is very quiet but very close to the castle. Service is excellent and breakfast meal is plenty. The only complaint is the coffee taste.

“A very pleasant stay”

A little difficult to find the first time but well worth the trouble. Very impressed with quality of the room (better described as a full suite). Good breakfast in a very pleasant and atmospheric attic. Nice bar and terrace. Will definitely chose to stay in this hotel again when visiting Prague.

“Great City, Lovely Hotel - very impressed”

We were very impressed with this hotel in Mala Strana. It is close to the Embassies in a quiet and safe area. Just a few minutes walk from the Castle grounds, 10 minutes to Charles Bridge and 15-20 minutes walk to the Old Town Square. The room was large, comfortable and very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful and all spoke English. We would stay at Appia Residences again and would recommend it to anyone going to Prague.

Area recommendations
If you like it quiet at night stay in Mala Strana or Kampa. If you like the night life stay on the opposite side of the Vltava in Stare Mesto or Nove Mesto.
Getting around
Best seen on foot, although the tram service is great
Must see
The Castle and gardens plus St Vitus Cathedral, The Old Town Square (superb view from top of the Clock Tower - there is a lift!), Petrin Gardens and the observation tower. Charles Bridge (Karlov Most) is a must - especially at night and finally the Spanish Synagogue in the Jewish Quarter.
Dining
Traditional czech food is the best value but you either like it or you don't. There are some very good Italian restaurants and we recommend Gittens on Trziste opposite Murphey's Bar. Czech beer is very nice and excellent value.

“The best hotel in my European experience”

The rooms are huge, clean and very cozy. The wireless Internet is available as well, as the regular LAN connection, and it's free of charge. Breakfast looks like lunch; stuff is very friendly. The underground car parking is clean and very secure. The hotel is situated in a very secure neighborhood next to the major embassies. You can reach the main historical sites by feet within 10-15 minutes. No doubts we will stay in this hotel next time we visit Prague.

Area recommendations
All the city is very attractive, but most interesting sites are Prague Castle (Prazsky hrad), Mala Strana, and Old Town Square (Staromestske namesti). Try to get video or book about Prague; this way you will have better understanding what city parts you have to discover first in order to spend your valuable time the best possible way.

“Unbelievable hotel”

Room was great for a family. Parking garage was secure and worth the extra money. Location was perfect. Walking distance to everything. Breakfast was great. Can't say enough good things about this place. Will definitely stay there again and would recommend it to others.

“Appia di Praga - Ottimo hotel”

Hotel molto comodo, vicino al centro. Personale gentile e disponibile. Pulizia ottima. Per una famiglia di 4 persone disponibilità di mini-appartamenti molto ampi e confortevoli.

“verstecktes Juwel”

“praga Appia residence”

great location in ambassy area, lively and safe. location is ideal for reaching lots of point of interest and close to main public transport stops (trams run fast and all public transport system is very efficent). very large room with cooking facilities, and free wifi. staff is supportive and provides information
