“Good Trip”

The bath towles were clean and smeled fresh and the sheets were clean. That is what is important to me.

“nicer than expected”

Staff was courteous, room clean and comfortable, breakfast basic but good enough. The Days Inn was in walking distance of everything we had to do. Some good restaurants in area, especially Baby Cakes.

“Good Hotel for the money”

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast offerred a good variety including hot waffles. The waffle machine needs to be relocated so that it doesn't almost fall off the edge when you flip them over. The handrails on the stairs need to be repainted. There was no elevator, this would have been a problem a few months ago when my mom was recovering from open heart surgery.

“Not impressed”

Room was small and beds were small and room had a strong odor which was not good. I have been in nicer places. Was nice having indoor pool but hours of operation could be added to 10PM maybe.

“Good Deal”

We stayed here for a college alumni event. No major complaints-- good deal for the money. Included side bar breakfast (waffle maker, cereal, coffee, fruit, breads, pastries). Small indoor pool looked clean and there were 3 machines in the fitness room for a quick workout. The area felt mostly safe, yet we still hesitated to keep the windows open (there were child-locks on them too). In the morning we took a 10 minute walk over to the shopping plaza. I also loved my run on the Vassar campus- super close. If want to avoid the craziness of Route 9, this hotel is the right match. We would stay here again.

Waterfront! Poughkeepsie and the area businesses and colleges have put a lot of money into their new waterfront. It's a gorgeous thing to witness. Also, the recently opened Walkway Over the Hudson uses the old rail trail to cross the Hudson River from Poughkeepsie into Highland. Beautiful views- easy parking.

“paper thin walls”

I can only guess that our neighbor had an enlarged prostate, as he seemed to flush the toilet every 15 minutes, and the sound was so loud it sounded as if an airplane toilet was going off. Also, there was no way to control the heat, and even the AC wouldn't turn on. So if you're a sound sleeper, this hotel might work for you. The breakfast was good, and the am front desk staff were friendly.

“poughkeepsie”

The hotel was clean, nice staff and the room was even better than expected. And, while I wasn't expecting to have breakfast included I did get to enjoy cereal and coffee in the morning. I'd absolutely stay there again.

Area recommendations
Downtown is where business takes place. I don't know about the other areas.

would definitely recommend baby cakes to grab something to eat. Food is wonderful and desserts are fabulous.

“Great value for the money”

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was very convenient and the rate was fair. However, the condition of the room could use improvement but, the room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We had a complimentary continental breakfast before we left which was very nice.
