Couple staying a few days for a visit. Great hotel, rooms are nice, staff is very helpful and happy to point out directions or suggest restaurants. This was a great spot to enjoy the city. Note: you can book private shuttles to and from the airport directly to hotel much cheaper than taxi is your group is less than 3.

This hotel was very central to all transport and amenities,The night life and surrounding shops and cafes was all walking distance of not more than 5 minutes.The staff were very friendly and helpful at all occasions,especially there was one of the staff who had this outstanding hospitality of service ,offered us benefits for the future with the group of hotels,we even asked where she was from and she mentioned South Africa.Will recommend stay anytime.
We had a room on the 9th floor and this is the highest and the best
The higher the better to get the best views of the Opera House and the Harbour bridge
Our room had a kettle, toaster, 2 ring cooker, a microwave and a fidge with an ice box so that you could cook simple meals in your room
We had a fold up bed as our 4th bed so it was a little cosy but we managed
You could open the winows quite a lot which was a bit crazy for the 9th floor and there was air conditioning if needed
While Springfield Lodge is advertised as in Potts Point it is only across the road and up a few short steps to the main street of Kings Cross; therefore the peace and quiet of a comfy hotel tucked away behind the main street buildings but with quick access to the shops/restaurants/train station etc. As the rain pelted down most of our two day stay we were able to go and use the train without getting drenched (the underground being a new challenge for us but easily learnt). The reception staff were helpful and friendly. They were able to suggest alternatives to our previous sun drenched plans so we were able to enjoy our pre-cruise days and the day of check-out we were able to leave our luggage in their storeroom free of charge; returning to pick it up at our convenience.
We were impressed with the hotel's guest kitchen (well equipped including dinner set/cutlery etc) and dining room. The guest laundry too was easy access. All basic but clean and very tidy. Our room had a comfy bed and a good shower in the ensuite.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, will go again, and will not hesitate to recommend Springfield Lodge to others.

Having stayed here for Mardi Gras weekend I felt that this hotel was a great price for a short trip, on short notice. The room is 5 Star; the hotel staff are more friendly here than at any Hilton or Crown Plaza I've stayed at and the patio on the top floor overlooks the Sydney skyline. My visiting Canadian friend was even more impressed by the very comfortable shower, big bed and mirror behind the bed. I was very impressed
