"Absolutely Superb - wish we could've stayed longer"
Finding the Hotel wasn't easy on a very twisty and narrow cliff hugging road. Your car is parked on the road tight against the cliff and your luggage, thankfully, goes up the cliff in a hoist. The only downside is there is a fairly steep climb up the 120 odd steps to the hotel. However once we'd arrived it was well worth the effort. Our room was on the upper terrace with a communal balcony overlooking the Amalfi Coast - a view to die for. (Directly outside of the room the balcony was sectioned off to give you some privacy). The hotel is run by the family who are incredibly welcoming and can't do enough for you. We arrived about 1930 and were told they served dinner every second night and we could join them if we wanted to. The menu was a set menu, no meat, about 7 courses with most of the produce coming from the terraces around the hotel. There were 8 other guests and we all sat together round the one table - what a brilliant night we had and what a way to learn about the area. The family recommended a restaurant for the second night. A car was sent to pick us up and brought us back afterwards - the meal was fantastic. Next night another "shared" meal with 14 round the table - we provided a bottle of malt just to round off another perfect night. Breakfast on the lower terrace overlooking the coast was quite stunning. A "must visit" for anyone visiting the Amalfi Coast. This is one place we would definitely recommend to everyone and hope for a return visit. Thanks
Lovely staff, great location, great facilities, excellent food.
My room was spacious, had a sea view and had an original design, with grotto-like rocks sticking out of the walls. Only criticism: the walls in the bathroom were damp & needed re-doing
"Perfect location. Close to all attractions - beach"
Spent 6 days there. First day used limo car with driver (Euro40-00/hr x 7 hrs) to visit Pompei, Ravello and Amalfi coast. Second day hired a 18ft power boat from beach kiosk to tour Capri and Amalfi coast by sea (Euro280-00 for whole day - all costs). Third day shopped around Positano - recommend Idillio for men and ladies summer clothes. Fourth day lay around on beautiful beach - crystal clear water. Fifth day - same as fourth day. Sixth day - beach in morning and long walk in afternoon - fantastic. All amenities brilliant - if any nit pick, Wi-Fi could be better but was sufficient to keep in touch with business in Australia.

Hotel Villa Rosa met our expectations (the rooms are not as spacious as the website photos will lead you to believe though) in it's location location location and customer service.
Our balcony view was breath taking anytime of day...the different lighting of the water and the hills...
The breakfasts at Villa Rosa exceeded our expectations. Each morning a tray of everything you could want, delivered to your patio in the warm morning light by a quick and courteous staff.
We will be back.

We were extremely pleased with everything about this hotel. The managers (Giuseppina and Francesca?) were warm, gracious and welcoming throughout our stay. The room was nicely decorated, clean and surprisingly large. The breakfast, on the veranda includes great view of Positano, and was delightful. Definitely recommended.
We debated about renting a villa higher up the town but, decided to go with the Covo. Boy, are we glad we did! The Covo has the best location in Positano for getting around combined with an amazing view. The hotel is classically Mediterranean and the food is excellent (best pizza we had in Italy).
Lovely hotel with beautiful view and a balcony to sit on. Local bus stop right outside the door. Only a few streets walk up to the top for SITA bus. Breakfast was lovely sitting outside overlooking the coastline. Would highly recommend this hotel. My daughter had her 13th birthday while visiting and surprised her with a beautiful chocolate cake.
Yes there are stairs to reach the hotel but its well worth it once you arrival to the view. Maryse was so welcoming and have us a beer for our efforts!! She even upgraded our room which was lovely to a bigger suite with a balcony. Breakfast was enjoyable on the terrace and it was a short 1 min walk to the beach or 5 mins round to the main town of positano. Very enjoyable and relaxing stay!! Thanks maryse
