“comfortable lodging in an interesting town”

Excellent lodgings located convenient to downtown attractions and facilities. Attentive, courteous staff, on-site restaurant which serves a reasonably-priced, very good breakfast. Rooms are very comfortable and clean and cleaning service staff very responsive and attentive. Only disadvantage is the added parking fee since the hotel does not offer free parking as an amenity. But, this aside, definitely an excellent hotel for anyhone interested in comfortable lodgings and proximity to downtown and area attractions.You can walk anywhere you would want to go.

“Lots to like about this hotel”

This hotel is usually more expensive than the others in the same area so we don't usually stay here, but it was cheaper this time around so we did. I actually think this one is nicer than the Sheraton, so it being cheaper was a treat. The room we got was bigger than necessary, and the walls don't seem paper thin like in some other hotels I've stayed in. There were even two showers (one stand up, one tub) in our bathroom! Odd, but nice if you were in a rush and needed to shower at the same time or something. It's also walking distance to the Portsmouth Brewery, which we judge our Portsmouth hotels on. :)

Stayed here to go out for my fiances 21st birthday... Excellent location right in the middle of the town for going out for drinks or dinner. Valet parking was nice. Room on the 4th floor had a great view above the parking garage so you could see the whole town.

I was very impressed with the people that work there, they were very pleasant and accommodating. The Hotel itself was extreamly clean and neat and also very close to all the action in town. loved it, I will be going back for the fall season.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The inn was bright and pleasing to the eye. The staff was friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the valet service for my car.it was quick and easy. The location was walking distance to downtown Portsmouth for shopping and dining. It was also close to Prescott Park and the beaches. I would definitely stay there again.

“Great Downtown Portsmouth Hotel”

This hotel is located right in downtown Portsmouth and it really is a great hotel. The only think that could have been improved was that the beds were a little too soft for my liking. Otherwise, it was great. We spent 3 nights at the hotel last week and 3 nights in a Boston hotel. The price of the Boston hotel was double this one and certainly no better.

Normally we are very selective with kudos for good service and cleanliness, but not in this case. From the time we checked in until the time we left, we could not have had a better hotel experience in Portsmouth. Everyone in the hotel was extremely courteous, helpful and friendly. I have ABSOLUTELY nothing negative to say about this hotel and now am really wondering about some of the reviews we read before arriving and questioning where those negative reviewers stayed.

“overall, a good experience”

The location of the hotel was wonderful. However, we had reserved a room with a king size bed but were given a room with 2 queen size beds. We were also woken up at 3:00 am from loud banging on the floor above us. We ended up having to call the front desk.
