“Old World Italian Seaside Holiday”
Very enjoyable get-a-way. Hotel matched the beauty of the photos on line. All staff were very friendly and English was spoken with everyone. Rooms were large as was closet and bathroom. Pool area was beautiful; but, there were alot of children; well-behaved; but, present. A great Hotel for a honeymoon and romantic / relaxing holiday. Charming town a short scenic walk away. Not a great trip for someone who wants a nightclub experience or young single set. Gay friendly; but, very much the minority. Excellent restaurant on the rooftop, great views.
“not very nice, far from centre, okay clean (dirty sheets, but okay otherwise), not worth the money”
hotel was far from rapallo center, not walking distance, so u better drive, but they only have limited spots, even if you want to pay.... hotel room was only very okay at best, kind of run down, sheets were dirty, view was okay though...if u go out the balcony and look sideways u can see a sliver of water.... hotel staff didnt get back to me about certain things... lets just put it this way, i booked and paid for 2 nights, i gave up my last night (no refund) and paid to go somewhere else...i think action speaks more than words, so yah, i paid extra to go somewhere else.......
“Beautiful views”
We were upgraded from a Standard Room to Delux. Our room was a seaview with a balcony. The double doors provided a spectacular view. Everything was clean and bright. The breakfast was very nice, and the coffee was wonderful. The fitness room was very clean and a nice addition. Surrounding areas completely walkable.
“Shower for kids, way too small”
hotel looks great, Swimmingpool is nice Food is too expensive for what you get. Breakfast is not nice Views are stunning Shower is tooo small
“Seaview Jewel”
Loved, loved, loved our stay in a gorgeous Jr. Suite overlooking the sea. The room and bath were impeccable and spacious. We would recommend this hotel for adults seeking a romantic, relaxing getaway. Out of season it was convenient to visit the nearby villages of S. Margherita and Portofino. During our stay, it was unusually warm for the springtime and, as in most inns in Europe, the A/C was not yet switched over to the cooling cycle. We mentioned the situation to the staff and they had a fan waiting for us in our room when we returned from dinner. Leaving the windows ajar using the fan we were disturbed by the high speed trains that pass in front of the hotel all night long. But this should not present a problem when the windows can remain closed and the heat/AC provide climate control. We'd like to return to the area and this lovely hotel again sometime!
“Great Experience”
The hotel was probably the best we stayed in in Italy. The view was outstanding. The cost of the evening meal was high (38 Euros), the breakfast was included and very nice. The staff was very helpful and spoke good English. It was hard to find, and our GPS disn not help. The Staff suggested that we put the street name as Primavera, rather than the via Aurelia Oientale listed as the address. A ten minute walk to the train station and a 40 minute ride to Cinque Terra.
“Not what we expected”
The hotel was very expensive for what you actually get. It was like mutton dressed up as lamb!! Reception staff not very courteous or helpfull. Some hotel facilities listed the hotel did not have- very poor. Bathroom whilst being nice was way to crowded, couldnt move in it at all and we are not big people. Rooms were old and dirty and for the price room sizes are poor.
“Hotel with a Beautiful View to the Sea”
Although some of the services at the pool bar was not up to standard and the price of in house food was very expensive, we had a very nice stay. You could not ask for better location as far as the view was concerned and everything was new and clean. Highly recommended!
“Luxury in Italy”
We were very impressed with The Grand Hotel Bristol. It was by far the nicest hotel we stayed at during our two weeks in Europe. Beautiful lobby and very nice front desk staff. The room was beautiful and the bed was very large and comfortable. The complimenart breakfast was delicious and the selection extensive. The breakfast is served on a patio with a breathtaking view of the Mediteranean. I will definetly stay there again.
“Manager was so welcoming - loved the spa”
Beautiful hotel with very comfortable rooms. Lovely pool and deck, excellent breakfast. The General Manager, Cinzia Montelli, and all the front desk staff went out of their way to help us in every way. Desk staff speaks English. Friendly to families. Spa was first rate. I had a massage and it took away the travelers little aches and pains.
