“Unhelpful staff, poor breakfasts”

We had booked a triple room for 3 people and asked the hotel for an extra single room on arrival as I snore. They did so. But it was not cheap and rooms were spartan and basic, though clean. Car parking was the most expensive in any Italian hotel we stayed in (the car park is located under the hotel and it is difficult to manoevre a car). On check out we asked to pay the bill three ways, each by credit card. The owner was totally unhelpful and would only accept two payments, one for each room. The breakfasts were poor - just sweet things and very little savoury - just dairylea-type cheese, no ham or even eggs.

Area recommendations
The old streets in Rapallo back from the harbour were attractive and had the best value restaurants.

“Hotel Giulio Cesare”

Ottimo Hotel in posizione vicina a parcheggi e a 5 minuti a piedi dal centro vicino a spiaggia. Camera ampie e ampio bagno con grane box doccia. Camera silenziosa. Colazione buona (dolce e salato). Cortesia dei titolari. Nessun incoveniente. Lo consiglio.
