“Best of Rapallo”

The reception staff were very helpfull. The room was clean and spacious and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was continental with a wide variety of items on offer. The hotel was situated accross the road from the beach and had an arrangement for a discount at the beach facility. The hotel kindly allowed us to use some towels as we had travelled such a distance. This was the only European hotel we encountered that catered for long distance travellers. Other hotels could take note and provide some older towels their guiests could hire for the beach. There is no restaurant or bar at the hotel except for the breakfast room. However, the situation is such that there are many restaurants within easy walking distance, making a choice is the only problem.

“Ideal base”

We had visited Rapallo before but not this hotel.Being right in the centre of town and next to a car park it was just what we wanted.Did not have breakfasts because we used the markets in town .Desk staff were extremely helpful when we left some personal property behind. Receptionist ,Andrea ,was brilliant.He contacted us at our next destination after finding out from Expedia where we were staying enabling us to be reunited with our things.Church bells can add local colour but not early in the morning on holiday.Checking in procedure was very thorough.Really handy for bars ,restaurants,boats ,promenade.We enjoyed our time here.

Everything was fantastic except they lost our passports!!!! and they denied it too. So, lost 2 days vacation and + EUR 1000 to replace the passport + hotel + 4 hours train ride back and forth later. So please hold on to your passport!

“Great location and view if you get the right room”

We stayed in a junior suite, which wasnt really a suite just a larger double room. Even then the room wasnt huge, but had a great balcony facing the harbour. The hotel is fairly small and compact and i would reccommend a higher floor to get the best view if you are facing the sea. Parking seemed to be a problem when we visited but this was only i think due to the large festival taking place (which was fantastic).

“Excellent service and location”

We checked in to this hotel on 5/20/09 for one night and were pleasantly surprised to find out that our room was upgraded to a large suite with unbeatable views of the harbor of Rapallo. The staff was very friendly, professional and helpful. The location could not be better. Highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was incredibly clean. The complimentary breakfast was extraordinary. The hotel staff was very friendly and conversant in several languages.

“Anniversary trip”

The Tigullio Royal Hotel ticks all the boxes and in a great location to visit Portofino and the Cinque Terre national park. We flew into Genoa, transport connections (airport bus, and train to Rappallo)were a dream, only 4 eur on the bus and 2.4 eur for the train. On arrival at Rapallo station we decided to walk to the hotel, it only took about 4mins. Train from Pisa is also a good alternative, Milan & Torino is also possible. The hotel is in a fantastic position on the front overlooking the prom, marina and only minutes away from bars and resturants, well worth paying a little extra for a room with the view. The breakfast was a joy to look forward to every morning, our bathroom may have been a little small but it didn't matter because it was spotlessly clean and well equipped.

“Best Western Tigullio Royal Hotel”

Si trova in una posizione centralissima e comoda per tutto con il parcheggio convenzionato a 10 euro a qualche metro, inoltre le camere sono molto pulite e luminose devo dire che son rimasto davvero soddisfatto nonostante abbia soggiornato solamente una notte. Lo consiglio sicuramente a chiunque voglia passare un soggiorno piacevole a Rapallo!!
