“Clean , Comfortable, relatively convenient”
The motel was relatively cheap . The room was clean, had adequate, towels, soap etc. The bed was comfortable and it was fairly easy to control the temperature. It also has a restaurant below it, which was convenient for breakfast. The only drawback was that it took a while to find it , since it is stuck near freeway interchanges and one way streets. Once figuring this out however, it was within a 10 minute walk of Portland State University and other downtown locations. I would stay there again.
“good location, good price and”
This is a Travelodge and to some degree what you might expect. Clean but worn. Aesthetically……meh. The woman at the front desk was good humored and personable. Big Plus! Did not try the attached restaurant. The location was great. Affordable. Could walk downtown in 15 or so minutes. Easy highway access. I would stay there again.
“awesome”
Great hotel
“Safety Hazard”
Only stay here if you cant afford any place else. Building is DAMAGED. Stayed in double king room, upstairs on end. Balcony floor is broken and dropped about a 1/2 inch at wall. Top Railing bolt pulled out of wall, Railing loose. Heard traffic and city noise really loud with sliding glass door closed, investigated and found that the securing screws for the non sliding panel were missing and there was about a 1/2 inch gap between door frame and nonsliding panel. SCARY
“Nice hotel for its money”
Nice and clean hotel in relatively clean district. There's inexpensive restaraunt (with karaoke) at basement and grocery store nearby. Not the best location if you're without car, but tolerable.
“Shows some age.”
This hotel is showing some age, but generally it's well maintained. Some of the fixtures in my room were heavily used, and showed signs of repairs, but overall, it was clean and comfortable enough for a guy on a road trip. It's close to Portland State University, and the offices on the south end of Downtown Portland. A few restaurants and the waterfront are within a moderate walking distance, but it's not really in the heart of any city life. It's close to an onramp onto the 405, and emergency vehicles passed by a few times each night I was there. There is a bar on the ground level that had a friendly karaoke crowd.
“Perfect!”
I have no complaints about the Travelodge! I loved the location-- very close to downtown and pretty much everything. Convenient parking. Great bar/restaurant, called "Sukis" (loved the breakfast there! We got a coupon for the restaurant from the hotel so it was cheap and delicious!). The room had all the amenities you would expect. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a cheap convenient place to stay while in Portland!
“Conveniently located”
This motel is conveniently located in Portland's university district. Just off the highway close to downtown and shopping. Although the motel is old it was clean and the service was good. The beds were comfortable. I would stay there again.
“OK place for a night”
It was what we expected; we stayed there last year. Nothing fancy, just close to where we wanted to be and reasonably priced for location. Lots of traffic noise, as it 's on a major feeder street into downtown Portland.
“A relatively Cheap Hotel, do not expect too much”
Although I asked for non-smoking, I could smell smoke in my bathroom. The room also did not have a place to hang my coat. The front desk tried very hard to fix it but could not. Offered me another room at 10 pm to move to. The new room was better, but right above a restaurant with loud music and singers..... Thanks God I am a heavy sleeper... According to Expedia, breakfast was supposed to be included ,but it was not. I guess it was expedia's problem not the hotel. But it was close to many key areas. There was no gym as well. The front desk was courteous.
