“Luxury in midtown Portland”
Westin is generally a "sure thing". I love the Heavenly Beds - very comfortable and truly an added attraction of Westin hotels and resorts. The room and bathroom were large and comfortable with tasteful, contemporary design. Only one thing about my particular room was that the heating/airconditioning vent was right next to the front of my bed and blew right onto my bed. Once I got the fan turned off, I got rid of the wind and the noise. The bar and restaurant was also excellent for my stay. Quick and professional service by friendly staff. I will happily return to this hotel and gladly recommend the hotel for other business or leisure travelers.
“Nice Stay”
Staff were great, Hotel needs a pool though.
“My choice in Portland DT”
Good One!
“Will stay at this hotel again if I ever go back.”
The location is very good: close to everything, light rail, restaurant, department stores. The restaurant and bar inside hotel are very nice and offer good food and drinks. The room is very clean and new. The only issue is the pillow is a little too high for me but the the bed is very comfortable, like any Westin hotel has heavenly beds. I travel often and usually stay at nice hotels; Westin is one of my choices. Definitely will stay there again if I go back !!
“Best Hotel in Portland.”
Exceeded our expectations!
“Our second home”
Love Portland, love the Westin. With a great location and excellent staff, it's the best place to stay.
“Outstanding hotel experience”
This Westin had modern, chic decor, very large comfortable rooms, outstanding service, and was in a prime location in Portland - just a block away from Pioneer Square, a short stroll to the Pearl District, and a walk away from Nob Hill. It is very pet friendly with no extra pet fees. Overall, I was very impressed and it exceeded my expectations. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
“Overpriced”
The front door and and front desk staff were very polite and accommodating. However, they did not give us the room we had requested (corner king) and the room we got was much smaller than expected and looked directly out into windows of a nearby building. We had to keep the curtains closed at all times for privacy as the people from the ugly building across the way could see directly into our room. The walls are VERY thin. We found this out when for some reason someone from the hotel let a group of party-goers check in at 3:00am in the room adjacent to ours. They were so loud that we were jolted out of bed and had to call the front desk several times before this group was removed. Someone from the other room even tried to open our adjoining room door. Room Tip: There are better accommodations downtown for this price Stayed August 2011
“Honesty”
When booking it should be known that a methadone clinic is right next door, about 200 feet away. My first night I was woken up by someone screaming outside my window; later that day security from the clinic was walking the sidewalk. A lot of clientele from that clinic remain in that area all day long and come back in the morning when the clinic opens at 5 a.m. Valet parking is expensive per night, 3 tenfold - I later found out that parking is free at night at specific times. Instead I was told that parking is not available but valet is. For the location, lack of honesty, I would not recommend this hotel to any colleagues at the price paid.
“Great Portland Hotel”
Centrally located, courteous service, great rooms.
