“Felt like we wereat home!”

We had a lovely little suite which my sister, brother & I all felt quite comfortable in. .My sister and I shared the bedroom at nigh,t while our brother used foldout bed in the living room .Staff treated us like family.. My personal favorite was my "new little sister, Miss Stacey!" The breakfast buffets were very nice & quite filling.I would recommend this sweet little place to all. "Miss Francy"

Getting around

Portland is a large city which spreads out quite far in all directions. For anyone not well familiar to the town, I would highly recommend traveling with a GPS system in your vehicle

“Full breakfast was disappointing!!”

The room itself was clean and had all of the amenities that we expected. I would rate the room a 5. I purposely picked a Marriott that served a full breakfast. The breakfast buffet was disappointing.

Area recommendations

The location was further from the Portland airport than we anticipated. It is however a beautiful drive to the airport from the hotel. Our extended family that we were visiting live in Vancouver, Washington. We had to make multiple trips to their home. Portland downtown has great restaurants.

What to pack

If you travel in October, pack clothes that you can layer. Also throw in a small umbrella.

“Would stay at this hotel again”

The room was neat. Enjoyed having breakfast each morning. The pool was clean and quite. Enjoyed sitting out by the pool. Would stay at this hotel again.

Japanese Gardens was beautiful. Also the oregon coast was breathtaking.

“comfortable and convenient”

This hotel was on the bride's and groom's list for a wedding this month. It was our first trip to Portland and we realized after locking into an Expedia non-refundable package, that we might have wanted to stay in the middle of downtown. Once we got there though, we were happy to be out of the city. Loved the proximity to the river, the airport, and the Safeway and Target. Plus it was only a couple miles from the reception. The breakfast was plentiful and the nice ladies constantly restocked whatever food ran low - something you don't see often with free breakfasts. The desk staff were all welcoming and always helpful. Loved having the separate bedroom and the kitchen amenities. All in all an amazing deal for what we paid for the package.

“Better than expected!”

I expected a nice and comfy place to stay but everything was better than expected and it was quiet. The hotel staff, my room, the breakfast and even the people cleaning the rooms were all wonderful. I will stay there again!

“Very nice”

My friend and I stayed in a 2 bed room suite. Each bed room has its own bath room and it was as if we were in a house with 2 master bed rooms. It was very nice and cozy.

“Great hotel, great service, we will be back!”

Our trick to this hotel was for a little family getaway to Portland, OR. The receptionist was extremely polite and helpful. The room was clean and quite. The continental breakfast was sufficient, but we wish they would have had a greater fruit selection as well as more seating availability. During the heavy breakfast rush over the weekend, the line was sometimes a little long. However, overall the hotel was great and we would visit this hotel again on our next visit to the Portland area.

Area recommendations

Portland's weekend Farmer's Market was a great place to hang out. We also enjoyed Tree-2-Tree amusement park about 45 minutes from Portland. This place is great for families with older kids in order to "zip-line" from tree to tree. Great fun. A great restaurant is just across the Washington border in Vancouver, WA called Joe's Crab Shack. Fantastic seafood, service and atmosphere.
