“For anyone who needs a good nights sleep before surgery, this is your hotel!”

I found that making my reservations via internet was perfect. I arrived to a friendly staff who were willing to meet my every need. The room was quiet and comfortable. I found the room to be clean and neat. There was plenty of room for two and we incurred no problems. The morning breakfast bar had great options for everyone and was kept stocked with lots of coffee and breakfast items. I will will be back.

Area recommendations

I am not familiar with this area. It is close to two major hospitals in Portland and that is why I was there.

“Slightly off the beaten path, but convenient to many areas”

Although on the edge of the downtown area, there is a bus stop right across the street. We found that convenient. It is also right off the freeway, so easy off and on to get to the airport. the staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast excellent.

“Good place to stay”

Nice hotel, great pool with very warm water, quality bed and large flat screen TV. Also very good breakfast. Carpet in the room could use stretching or replacing. Super friendly service on check-in and check-out. Enjoyed the free undeground parking (out of the weather) and free internet.

“convenient and great for family”

We were very pleased with our stay. I spend a lot of time comparing reviews and prices online and this place offered the best value for the location and we always like an indoor pool since we have a young child. We were there two nights and found the room to be very comfortable and quiet. The pool was great and really warm. The fitness facility was also nice. The breakfast in the lobby offered a number of choices if you like bread and eggs and bacon. The coffe was even decent. Quick walk to lots of food choices on NW 23rd!

Family-friendly activities

OMSI of course. I was really disappointed by the Portland Children's Museum. Noisy, chaotic, not at all original. Waste of money. Just go to OMSI!!!

“CLeanest hotel ever.”

Friendlly, clean, and responsive. Very nice stay.

Area recommendations

Nob Hill, within walking distance from hotel. Also, trolly within walking distance, so a chance to see all of the area.

Outdoors or beach

Must see Haystack rock at Cannon Beach. Also,a tour of the wine country is absolutely beautiful and fun.

“Interesting neighborhood”

We chose this hotel because it offered free parking and was in a funky neighborhood just outside the downtown area. It's fine if you don't mind the industrial area on one side. But two short blocks south is the Nob Hill area with plenty of restaurants, bars and shopping. The area seemed pretty safe too. Overall, the hotel staff was friendly, the room was clean and quiet (on the side away from the nearby freeway), and the location was central to most of the city.

“Easy Breezy Stay in lovely Portland”

Hotel was in great shape, clean and quite modern. Free Wifi all over, Free parking. Excellent bathroom. Shower head looked a bit weird but excellent water pressure! Bed was super comfy (king size). Flat screen TV with HBO! Very spacious room. Free breakfast was a bit lame. (Omelet with cheese wiz....) Great toast, yogurt, fruit. Will stay again for sure - Hotel is situated with in walking distance to a ton of cafes and bars. Great breakfast places very near by.

Area recommendations

Walk up NW 23rd street. Tons of places to eat/drink. Walk all the way up to Zupan's market. Excellent grocery store. Large beer selection.

“decent all rounder”

Hotel wall alright for the price. The front desk staff were polite, helpful and accommodating, the room was clean and comfortable although the carpets needed steam cleaning or replacing they had been vacuumed and the bathroom, bed linens, and surfaces were immaculate. The hotel location was a bit odd; though close to north west Portland it is just beyond the border to an industrial area.

“Good value”

Everything I would want or expect in a hotel, but at least on my side of the building the traffic noise was too loud sometimes. At a major intersection just off of a bridge, there were occasional loud motorcycles. The bed was comfortable. I liked that pillows came in both soft and firm and were marked as such on the pillow cases. The free breakfast, with some hot components, was better than just a continental breakfast, although not great, but certainly satisfactory.
