“Good value”

Friendly staff, comfortable and spacious room, and right off the highway (about 20 minutes from downtown Portland). Free parking and fresh baked cookies in the lobby!

“Good Zoo Hotel”

Hotel is in circle of other hotels and fairly convienent for the zoo.Good breakfast buffet and small deli. lots of kids in summer. Not a bad place.

“Great value”

This is a 3-star hotel that feels like more. The firmness of the king-size beds are independently adjustable on both sides. They offer free wireless service along with free printing from the room. Room service is available and the fees aren't outrageous. And the breakfast buffet is easily the best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel...made to order eggs & omelets, pancakes, french toast, waffles, pastries are all fantastic. Definitely pay a few bucks extra per night when you book the room (this will include the buffet for everyone in your room) because you will want it and it's $10.95 per day per person otherwise. The location is convenient to Portland (just five minutes to the zoo) without the extra costs of Portland hotel rooms, parking, and traffic. Other than a really small pool, I found little to complain about and really enjoyed our stay. They even provide warm cookies in the late afternoon/early evening.

“Quiet room, comfortable bed, clean!”

I had minimal needs, basically a place to sleep and shower after a half-marathon. I found the hotel to be very convenient to the venue -- the main reason I booked. the price was reasonable, the room was spacious and clean and the bed was quite comfortable. I did not take advantage of the pool/spa/workout room but they looked adequate. The business center is a nice addition, as well. The customer service was excellent, the front desk clerk upon checkin was courteous and knowledgeable and called me by name the next day (a nice touch). The location was very convenient to the highway, but the immediate walking area didn't look that exciting, although it seemed pretty safe.

Area recommendations

Orenco Station. Close by, quaint, lots of interesting things to see while walking.

“great place to stay!!”

the hotel was clean & welcoming. The staff was wonderful. We stayed over the Christmas holiday & everyone was in the spirit of the season & the staff could not do enough for us. They made us feel as though we were part of their family.

“Not impressed”

The hotel was clean and quite. pool and spa were also clean and maintained food was sud standard dollar value was not worth it. I personaly would not stay there again.

“So loving this hotel”

My husband and I took our three granddaughters to this hotel for a weekend fun get away and it was just that! We loved our stay and will be going back.
