“Sad that I have to write something bad about this hotel”
I have stayed at this hotel many times and this is the first time I was unhappy with my stay. There were just several small little issues that just seemed to just make our stay unsatisfactory. From them being out of everything during the 2 hour reception hour, to dishes being left in the hallway for 2 days, and the staff didn't seem as organized or ready for a nearly sold out weekend. I have always loved this hotel and the customer service but it just wasn't there this weekend. I am hoping it was just a one time thing.....
“Great Location”
Great breakfast, Good Happy hour. staff very polite and helpful.
“Great for downtown Portland”
We found Embassy Suites a perfect location for visiting downtown Portland. Parking was available nearby. Loved the evening Manager's Reception, great breakfast in the morning, and well-equipped fitness center. We didn't notice any noise from outside the room. The staff was helpful and everything was clean and comfortable.
“Older hotel, nicely remodeled”
Impressive, spacious lobby; pricey restaurant, friendly staff, big rooms nicely furnished. Everything worked, everything clean. Quiet. Complimentary wine and beer were served at happy hour and they also offered a complimentary breakfast in the basement. Basement location did not have the nice "feel" that most Embassy Suites offer. Wouldn't give Hilton Honors credit since I used a third party to book the room. Overall, we would stay here again.
“we had a wonderful stay vary impressed”
The food in the restaurant was out of this world the server was a real joy,the whole meal was a real treat. Plus we ate lunch earlier that day it was fantastic.
“Good spot”
Nice renovation
“Weekend in Portland”

“Great time, this place is amazing!!!”
One of the very best Portland has to offer!!!
“Great Central location”
Elegant refurbished hotel. It was in the center of most activites. The staff was helpful polite. There was a free happy hour and free breakfast including made to order omlettes. We will return.
“great hotel if you stay inside and don't look or go outside”
Stayed at king suite. great furniture, room layout, but room was smaller than i thought. i was expecting some kicthen type space, even small. front desk staff said we would have a great view but the view was terrible, so we had to close the cartains so other people cannot see us from next building. couldn't see anything other than a neighboring building's cement wall. however, it was awesome that the hotel offered a managers nightly drink and complimentary breakfast. both were very popular, so even the big room was filled with hotel guest. hotel made it very easy for us to just come get drink and breakfast without even asking for room key or number. they had a swimming pool which our very young kids enjoyed so much. we chose this hotel because they had swimming pool and breakfast and bigger than average room. hotel is located in a rather getto area of Portland (i think), but once you enter the hotel, it is a whole different world. very elegant throughout. staff or security people at the entrance need to be more friendly or polite because they are hard to approach. next time, we would probably stay at a hotel closer to clean part of Portland. great hotel to stay and recommend, nonetheless.
