“Off the beaten path...unfortunately.”
I typically stay at the Courtyard by Marriott near Lloyd Center during frequent trips to Portland. This time I booked online in too much of a hurry, and erroneously prepaid for a room at this very inconvenient location tucked into the back of a small development in an isolated area by Interstate 5 and the Columbia River. I would not have been able to find it had I not had GPS available. Its secure parking was much appreciated, as was that the on-site restaurant was open for dinner, though the salmon I ordered was not prepared as described on the menu.
“convenient”
You have the Max a few yards away, it's close to the airport, but no too far away from downtown.
“Great Start for Portland convenience.”
This hotel is the perfect option for mid-range rates while being perfectly located for staying at the heart of many of Portland's tourist hotspots. Almost every place we visited was roughly 15-20 minutes drive from the hotel. The breakfast each morning was great with many options for all my family. My kids loved the bacon and waffles. The two cooks were very good. On the last day Jordan, one of the breakfast cooks, handle the packed cafe with a smile. Efficient, funny, and professional, he really made our last day a pleasurable farewell. If you're going to Portland to sight see Portland and the surrounding areas, this is a great place to stay.
“Average”
Very little preasure from the shower; taking conservation a little too far. Food at the hotel's restaurant was not very good. The staff could be more friendy.
“"Nice Hotel"”
This is a great place to stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I highly recommend breakfast in the hotel.Buffet style with eggs cooked to order. We booked this hotel through Expedia and we got complimentary breakfast coupons but the hotel staff didn't know about it. They have an indoor pool and jacuzzi which is good. Internet was not working on the 1st day of our stay.
“SEE YOU NEXT YEAR”
THERE IS ONLY ONE COMPLAINT I HAVE WITH OUR ROOM. FOR THE PRICE YOU WOULD THINK THAT THEY MIGHT AT LEAST PUT A REFRIGERATOR IN THE ROOM.
“Very Enjoyable”
The hotel was very nice, the breakfast was great (includes, waffles, freshly cooked eggs the way you like them, bacon, fruits, muffins, etc). The room was very comfortable, and we had a nice view the yacht dock. The hotel is close to the highway which is very convenient. I would book this hotel again if I go to Portland.
“Superior”
Courtyard by Marriott has proven to be an excellent facility. This one is made even better by its staff of courteous, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable people. I found everything here to be totally satisfactory and above expectations. (Even in the constant Portland rain.)
“Difficult to find”
Nice hotel but, very difficult to get to. Sits behind new construction which obscures the view. Highway exit not well marked - as well as detour which did not let you cross a bridge to get to the hotel. Took 45 minutes instead of 5-10 mins from our previous location. Very frustrating!!!!!
“Nicest hotel in Kelso”
A very nice hotel along the highway. We were impressed with the large room that had 2 queen beds. The outdoor pool was also nice as compared to the other motels in the area which had indoor pools. We'd stay here again. We also got a special rate when we got there as they had their "cooling" off special.
